We spent 3 nights in Agia Anna and sitting out on the beautiful beach is definitely the highlight. Beautiful blue water, soft warm sand, friendly people at the restaurants and hotels around. Great setting.
good basic beach with restaurants nearby so you an order drinks or get something to eat. We went in October so it wasn't too crowded.
Nice clear water, fine sand, small fish.Great for children and also amateur snorkeling.Mani taverns some serving fresh fish on the beach.super place all around.
A bit windy -- at least in September -- but very relaxed: families, children, gays, some nudist, some clothed: everything goes!!
Great beach, great view of paros and some small rocky islands, free umbrellas at some spots. We went to plaza hotel area... Theres a swimming pool for the hotel across the street from where we stopped. Very nice umbrellas. Taverns further up the street. Only thing was that the bottom of beach was rocky instead of sandy once in the water. Im sure not a concern to most. Quiet since long atretch of sand allows people to spread further apart.
nice beach, very close to the tavernas & has a view to the mountains - so the sunset was beautiful - however beach gets crowded & noisy, so if you're in for silence & privacy: better to explore other parts of the island.
Nice sandy beach with umbrellas and bedsprei. Nice restaurants most of them with traditional Greek dood. .Beautifull views on Paros and sunset. Best swimm early in the morning.
Walking to this resort from Agios Prokopious you are struck by its very chilled nature and lovely beach front. We only stopped for a drink of cold Mythos but were struck by its quiet unassuming attractivness. Would be a nice quiet place to stay.
A perfect place for families with young children, and also for people who like to get their drinks served while they relax at their sunbed. Many of the restaurants offer free sunbeds if you order drinks. It seems to be a very popular beach as it is often crowded. There is a life guard on duty all day. When we are in Agia Anna we pass by the beach every day on our way to and from Plaka Beach which is more remote and less crowded.
This beach is just one of many good beaches in Naxos. Situated some 6 km south of Naxos town, it's easily reached by bus. Remember to buy tickets before entering the bus (supermarkets, kiosks, bakeries), and get off at Agia Anna. There you can either spend the day at the beach or walk past the little hill with the church and find the nude section which is highly recommended - it's beautifully located with a nice mixture of large rocks and the finest sand. It also marks the beginning of Plaka Beach, which is wide and sandy, so even if you are not into nude bathing, there is a lot of room for everybody. Definitely worth taking a bus ride for!
Lovely sandy beach, not overcrowded. Close to many tavernas and restaurants. The sea is a fantastic green/blue colour and clear to see. Good for basic snorkelling/children.
The beach is perfect for sand and sea, but the road spoils it, and the number of beach chairs. In high season Santaner cafe pumps out incredibly loud music - not good. Without the road, beachbeds, and music it is probably paradise.
We walked along this beach several times, its very pretty, great sand and clear water and picturesque bobbing boats. But we never actually used it for several reasons, one..... its partly backed by the main road, two....its very narrow at one end, so walk up to the end for a quieter experience, and three........ it was VERY busy. Lots of taverna's close by and areas with bed and umbrellas available.
This beach is just gorgeous, one of the best beaches on the island. Lots of restaurants nearby which was wonderful and a great spot to watch the sunset.
For those who want calm, clear and shallow waters this is the answer. If you want waves, traffic, and lots of crowds, find another beach. Everyone here values their area's natural beauty and are careful to protect all of it. Peace and quiet with only the sound of lapping water makes this a truly meditative vacation spot.
