Ideal place to stay when visiting Vathi, Sifnou. - VILLA COSTA STUDIOS. Very quiet and relaxing vacation facilities.
Beautiful bay with nice view of the sea.Very nice stay at Villa Costa Studios Quiet place with good facilities
This beach is located alone on a side of the island next to the small village named Vathi. There ain't many houses there, there are lots of tavernas on the beach side, there is a coffee place where you can watch soccer if you are a fan, also next to it a mini-market. The beach is wonderful more for evening I recommend, as you can sit there and watch a lovely sunset. It is mostly Sandy, but you have in some spots huge smooth rocks that look like sand, so don't dive before checking. The water is ultra clear, you can go bit farther and do some snorkeling if you wish. There is a place where you can have a sunbed and an umbrella, which is not for free. Also on that sandy beach there is a hotel named Elies Resorts, which is a 5star hotel, and has a restaurant on the beach side if you wish to pay something more and have a gourmet dinner. If you wish to be away from traffic and somewhere to relax when you want to visit the island, it can be the best place. I would recommend also to rent a car or a scooter to go to the city center, otherwise you will have to take the public bus which doesn't pass very frequently. In case you do want to rent, I also would suggest to rent on your arrival at Kamares, there are 2 dealers there about 100 meters away from each others, and might have different prices.Enjoy your trip to Sifnos
Visited all the beaches on Sifnos during my stay and kept coming back to Vathi. Crystal waters, clean sand and a slight breeze; ideal for relaxing in the sun. The beach is also the largest on the island so you are guaranteed peace and quiet that you might not get at the smaller bays.Tips: Walk the extra five minutes towards the south end of the beach for cheap chez lounge hire. Dine at the Manolis restaurant, definitely the tastiest food in Vathi.
very good ,specially if you have familiy and children, quiet, especially in this time of year, and you can enjoy more
We love this beach and the Tsikali taverna next to the church. It is such a beautiful and peaceful setting
just a great beach . Dont miss early dinner at Manolis restaurant as the sun sets - have the Mastelo dish. Never had a better one!!!
We berthed at Vathi as part of our Sailing Holidays flotilla and found it to be great fun, with a lively atmosphere. There is a small beach in the town, and one further east on the last marina. I've never seen so many swanky boats outside of Monaco or Cannes at the main marina. We spent time visiting the tavernas and going to the disco (name escapes me). Great times!.I rose early to snorkel the mysterious crashed plane wreck at the north of the bay, however you can see more of it just standing on the quay. Interesting story though....ask the locals about it.
Very nice beach. Not crowded even on august. Sandy, clean, clear waters, some good tavernas. No need to rent umbrellas/sun beds, due some huge tamarisks spending a shadow.
One of the best beach in the island worth to visit and swim here. Many good restaurants. The best for me is Ydrousa next to the hotel Elies
Crystal clear water, not too busy, staggeringly pretty, tavernas literally so close to the water that the footpath goes through the seating areas and a cute little harbour with a church sat on it. OK, so someone let them build a very big, very posh hotel on the hillside overlooking the bay, but i tell you what, if I had the money to do it, this is where I would stay and it really has had a minimal impact on the bay.
Love how the little tavernas here are right on the beach! Have to take shoes off to get into them. Small beach, but nice. Great views in the bay.
Smaller fishing village with a fun lively atmosphere- lots of families and beach activity. We spent some time walking the beach and stopping in the few shops (pottery/ ceramics mostly)
The worst place for a day by the water! Terrible access to the sandy part of the beach and tiny "free" shade...8€ for 2 deck chairs and umbrella??? What a ripoff when the normal in Greece is that you get these for free if you order coffee or they do not cost more than 5€. Try Lazarou beach instead!!
Long beach with options if where to park yourself for a few hours. Very good swimming and lots to see - people, boats, hills.....Convenient for food, drinks and "minor" shopping. Never overcrowded.
