Loved a bartender Anastasia:) Great atmosphere, cool drinks. The loveliest part was that you could come there with a book, sit down have a chat and just enjoy amazing, breathtaking views and your reading.

In Amopi there is one bar,I only say,you have to visit it, you really have to. In a top of à Tower.Modern music, in a atmosphere and view, close to the little Church(visit the little Church to= it's always opend) sooooo nice!!!!In the bar you can order what ever you wants, drinks,coffee, icecream, wine.....And Tom, the owner, take care of you, I will promise you that.....Serviceminded and a really really nice and warmhearted person.It's really pitty that people really don't find it,the place.... Skala bar is situated next to the restaurant Calypso.Go,go there......and spread it too all of your friends.....

Leaning back in my comfortable chair ensconced in Skala Bar with my femme buried in maps and info packs,i ruminated on how good life is,in particular,how good life is in Greece....on holidays this is a frequent outpouring,don't you find so? i didn't know much about Sikinos which is traditionally the exact motivation for me to go there. makes for a compelling rational,doesn't it? Though scarcely mentioned in antiquity,it has the remains of a seemingly once impressive,Renaissance mausoleum,now a church,in all probability,the final resting place for an eminent and troublesome exit. I mean to say,most places on Sikinos are a long hike away from anywhere. Ferries were unable to dock here until the early '90s. there is only one road,up from Kastro down to Skala,as Alapronia is called. A bus expected us at the ferry docking while disgorging foot passengers mill about scratching their heads and bottoms. Scary sounds,no cars. My femme noted that you don't see the entire mule or donkey trains drawn not by gnarly old men,but by strapping young bloods with rampant black moustaches,fit enough to eat the 'pasha's men' for breakfast. Kastro itself has a sparse,lofty,tranquility,not a place i would like to be stuck in dreary bad weather in winter. There are no restaurants and my femme would not be cooking because she would'nt be here,oterwise. By 10.00pm the locals are doing zzzzz's ,while on the more sophisticated islands they would just be be just sitting down to eat. Beware,communication is slow,but tourism will reverse its slow tumbling down. We loved the fortified monastery of Zood ohow Pygis (spring of life) now gently decaying above Kastro,it was a place of refuge for islanders against pirate assaults. In Kastro,in fact,houses faced inwards for protection.although decorative elements are not overlooked. our favourite place is enigmatic Episkopi,a Roman temple turned into Christian church turned into a monastery.

Skala Bar is one of the few places that you need to go back to. There's always a milkshake or a drink that you haven't tried yet and you cannot get enough of the great location, overlooking two of the best beaches of Karpathos, (Ammopi and Votsalakia). The decoration and the atmosphere are unique, the glasses used are phenomenal, the prices are very reasonable and the Dutch owner is the soul of this place! Make sure that you try one of the fantastic Ouzo Milkshakes!! I strongly recommend this place to everyone!

A really beautifull place with nice vieuw and perfect drinks. Especially the mojito. Best i ever had!!!

Un posto tranquillo dove bere un buon cocktail , l'ambiente è riservato il personale gentile e disponibile , la vista su Amoopi è bellissima .

ci siam stati nel pomeriggio per una pasua rinfrescante dalla spiaggia...il posto e' molto carino e curato nei particolari, il proprietario, olandese, gentile e cordiale ed i milkshake erano buoni e rinfrescanti!!

Tom giver Skala Bar den helt rigtige atmosfære ud over, at han serverer perfekte drinks og kaffe. Det hele passer til den helt unikke udsigt fra den runde bar. Vi elsker bare stedet.Aunti & Uncle

Posizione unica, arredamento originale, proprietario un po' hippy e molto cordiale. I prezzi sono onesti, ed i milkshake unici! Passateci che ne vale la pena!

Consiglio questo locale per la posizione panoramica sulle baie di Amoopi, il proprietario e' molto gentile e disponibile mi ha preparato un ottimo caffè frappe' e a mi ha dato informazioni sulla località , l'arredamento davvero originale!

Både Milkshake och Frappe' på detta ställe är super goda. Ett måste efter en dag på stranden innan man går tillbaka på hotellet och gör sig klar för middagen .
