We enjoyed this nice beach only 10 km away from Lefkada Town, sandy in its right part, and the beauty of the scenery: all those green pine trees on the surrounding mountain. The water was beautiful, clean and warm in the middle of September, and there were only few people around. You can try it too, or you can enjoy Kathisma, Milos Beach (see reviews) or Agios Nikitas, with its clear waters, nearby.

until the earthquake of 2003, the beach has now come up, sea wise, and the rocks have moved towards the swimmers area, have fantastic memories and great times from this area, these days I would avoid..

"sandy" is the last word i'd use to describe Pefkoulia beach, but it's very beautiful, no doubt about that...it's also ok to have your dog with you at the "nude" part of the beach

Pefkoulia is a wonderful clothing optional beach. Go to the right. After the first 50-60 metres of the beach, the beach is clothing optional and you can see nude, topless or dressed people everywhere. Nobody cares if you wear something or not. The atmosphere was wonderful. The water is clean, the beach is sandy with little rocks at the seabed. Highly recommended

Good Sandy beach for families. Also deck bar, cafe and swimming pool on rIses area above beach. It's the beach before Aghios Nikitas. Only downside is that the toilet facilities are not cleaned very often!!

No need to walk up or down steep steps...nice swimming pool also available by the pool bar..staff pleasant and have good English..beach has a lovely breeze on a very hot day and has some sand as well as pebbles and a few large rocks. Lovely view across to Agios Nikitas and you can drive on round to this lovely village and finish off your evening with a Greek Meal

I'm mainly writing this review to cover both Pefkoulia beach but also the Deck Beach Cafe as it wasn't on TripAdvisor in order to review it.Pefkoulia beach is a great little beach and very easy to get to as it's just off the main road. The beach is sandy with some large white rocks as you enter the sea but then is pure sand on the seabed. The sea is very clear and a beautiful turquoise colour and we had a great afternoon there. It does get busy (although not as ridiculously busy as Porto Katsiki...crazy!) so beware. There is a small car park area just off the main road but many people park on the main road which we also did. Just beware of the traffic, especially if you have small children, as it is near a bend on the main road and the cars travel pretty fast on this stretch of road. You can hire the usual sunbeds & umbrellas (€5 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella for the day) which is good value and they are off good quality. If you need food do not bother with the Deck Beach Bar. It's great that there are some facilities there and if you want to have a drink or use the facilities then you'll be fine but the food is appalling. Cardboard like pizza and tasteless keftedes can be expected!Out of the 3 beaches we visited on Lefkada this was our favourite. Porto Katsiki was too busy in August as expected and Vasiliki can be very windy and is dominated by the windsurfing crowd so beware in the water! We didn't visit Egremni as we had planned as it was too busy and there are a LOT of steps to get down to the beach and, more importantly, UP from the beach.

Loved the water, which was clear and clean, and the beach was reasonably serviced by a beach bar The Deck, but the menu was very limited and the staff appeared to be busier than they could cope with. Showers available at no charge, but parking was a bit of a problem as the car park is limited, and a lot of cars parked up on the road ..

Went there instead of Kathisma Beach which is far more popular. My advice? Don't go there be fore September. The beach was packed and had to return to this beach which is gorgeous as well - in my opinion of course - and far less crowded. We sat with our umbrellas and a few provisions, on the right of the beach along with some campers and had a lovely swim all day long. Crystal clear waters and beach. Don't forget your underwater camera as well...

A beautiful place to go. Only backside is when it's windy there are a lot of waves. The scenery though is perfect.

We stayed at DECK Restaurant Cafe ( has a nice pool). The beach is very small, almost as a private one. It has sunbeds and umbrellas for 5 euro. Big waves for children. Some days, the water was not so clean.Don't order kalamari at Deck Restaurant. They give you frozen kalamari ..... Only sandwiches .

We have been there but didn't stay because we didn't liked the beach with rocks. There is a taverna and free parking ( not big ) .

The place looks great if you see it from the road but it is disappointing if you try to swim there..It has some tents and the beach is unclean. It is also full of rocks.

After enjoying some beaches on Lefkada we decided to explore Pefkoulia because it was close to town and the access was very easy. The water is clean, waves were good, the pine trees smell nice but there were a lot of wasps in the air. Many wasps, really many. It was very unpleasant, they were insistent and quite aggressive. We left the beach quite fast because of those insects.Another thing: there were a lot of tents near the beach, in the forest; so people use to "live" on that beach during the summer. A solution? Kathisma beach is only 5-6 km away, go there because it is really a great beach!
