The pictures you see with a natural bridge in the water are from long ago. The bridge collapsed. There is a nice inlet with worn away stone that is quite pretty, but nothing spectacular. There are several beaches in Sidari. One where the bridge was has a nice rock that is fun to swim too. Almost like a raft. My kids enjoyed the swimming. That is near a narrow beach with too many lounge chairs on it. The big, long beach is nothing special. Very commercial and not as pretty as many other beaches on Corfu.
We lived just outside of Sidari town and walked all the way across the beach to see the canal but it wasn't as hyped up as I thought it would be. Got there and it was a 'is this it' moment. Not really worth it.
nothing to dislike love the place! Sun shone all week, beaches are clean, big and safe with free sun beds as long as you have a drink at the bar who supply them....no problem there!!
We live on another island in the Ionian and decided to visit our friends from Sweden who were tolerating 3weeks there!!(total Brits abroad).they stayed near to the beach in the canal d amour resort (not sidari strip) so it was only about 10 minute walk.very tiny beach full of Italians (August!) generally as the way it faces the sea is COLD! The clay is nice though and good for the skin, generally quite pretty but the only pretty thing there there is a nice cape in driving distance like 15 mins up and out-carry on past the orchid and there are vague directions! If you want nice beaches go lefkada
Canal D'Amour is host to some of the nicest villas and apartments in the area. It's situated at the far end of sidari beach and the road from Canal D'Amour to Main Street is lined with a variety of restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. It's a 10-15 min walk between locations. If your likely to be out until the early hours in Main Street you might choose to stay closer to town than here...the walk back is quite dark although taxis operate 24hrs and are €5 max.
Stunning amazing a must see! Nice walks and a great place to watch the sun go down! Only issue was finding a used tampon on the path! I haven't marked the attraction down as it's the gross people that visit !
Food was good but staff needed a wake up call as seemed to be asleep. Not particularly cheap but edible.
ok so this wad dificult to get to with uneaven ground and walkways. sorry but this is not for people who have mobility problems i tried and failed to push mum along the footpaths, But this was a lovely place and the views were lovely is you visit this part of corfu you must if you can see this place, for disabled wheelchair users this is am 8 for dificulty
Sadari is smelly and dirty.......It's not the same resort as it was once - very disappointed Even the McDonalds got up and went!
Lots of small beaches and coves for daytime and some very good restaurents for evenings. Only a short stroll from Sidari centre. This area has developed over 20 years and now provides lots of varied restaurents and accommodation
Far superior to the main Sidari beach, which we found to be quite polluted and dirty looking. This was the nicest place we found to go in the area and we even made a return trip.. You can take stunning photos on the clifftops and on the interesting rock formations, swim the channel to find true love, and explore caves only accessible by water, and best of all it's free of charge with no-one around trying to flog you a rip-off boat trip! Also follow the coast around a bit further for more beaches with crystal clear waters - perfect for swimming. Be sure not to miss this site if you ever visit Sidari!!
Sidari was dirty and smelly.best thing was how close shops bars and eateries were.but we would not go again
We spend an hour or so here. There are interesting caves you can crawl through and they are linked by tunnels. Pretty cool. The canal is quite nice and would be good for swimming. Very much enjoyed.
Went for a wander one day, lovely beaches would liked to have more time to see more of this and visit some restaurants
This area is lovely. Wonderful scenery, a few little restaurants, and a couple of little bars. The best part of Sidari :)
