Unique experience to swim under a hot waterfall in the river , surrounded by a forest covered in snow or in the winter outdoor pool
It's a wander of the nature with a problematic management. The nature is unique (hot waterfall), private indoor pools, etc. What else should someone look for? A correct and effective management -not financial-, where visitors could use the facilities and feel confortable, as the changing rooms are just not enough. This happens on the weekends, when most of the visitors come, with long ques, wet floors, cold shower, etc. There is a need of urgent re-evaluation of the whole situation and service improvement. We'll be back soon.
It was fantastic and affordable. Beautiful private swimming pools to choose from. Lovely restaurants to have a bite afterwards.
Wonderful and relaxing baths both indoor and outdoor Entrance fee is very low. Private baths are recommended. Especially the old baths (hamam) are fantastic and EXPLICIT recommentedOn Saturday and Sunday advance reservation is needed The experience on outdoor baths is wonderful, but there are no lockers so the security of personal items is problematic
Beautiful forests, mountains and low cost natural spa. Also some interesting local wines and food. Try Xinomavro wines, and red grilled peppers with Feta cheese.
Wow!!!!!!what a place !!!wonderful !!everything there is perfect!!having great time there is guaranteed.Lovely scenery ,excellent service, very good prices , beautiful and warm atmosphere inside and the most important ,great worm and clean water in every place with thermal water were people are having bath. The best season is winter of course ,where i went too, because it's a chance to make a therapy for yourself by changing the temperatures some times, getting out and in the thermal water while outside is minus degrees.Remember!! bring your towel and your bathrobe, they provide some ,but it's how you feel better. And of course, try to be with a company so you can have some commemorative photo ;) and a good company near to you to spend better time than alone. Highly Recommended !!
This is a good place to relax, take a walk in the nature and have some comfortable holidays with your other half. I recomend this place for couples. Prefer to rent a room in a hotel including a pool in your room. Very cheap holidays.
This a place where you forget your worries for an hour or two and just, relax. There are three places where you can go for relaxation. First are the waterfalls , 2/3 are cold and 1/3 warm water, cost 2 euro to enter. This is an outdoor relaxation even in winter and below zero temperature. The second spot is the best one , the indoor private rooms with hot water pools... costing 18 euro for max 6 persons.Third and final is the water-pool with warm water also outside,3 euro per person. This whole place is surrounded with beautiful nature from all sides , culminating in spring. All of this is situated at the northerner part of the settlement Pozar about 30 km north of Edessa supplied with a good road. The actual settlement is 1 km away from the thermal springs , with lots of hotels and villas offering large variety of different offers for beds and food. Also , one of the best places to eat is the restaurant/tavern "Kaj Mitre" , just try the food and you wont regret it.Good service, top quality food and free wifi internet and best of all - free private parking :D On the down side , there is not much to do except for the baths, pubs and taverns. If your goal is a quiet vacation , this is your spot.
Incredible natural place. With cold waterfalls and warm lakes next to each other. I want to come back.
It's nice to go there if you have a couple of hours to spare. The scenery is nice, in the woods with hot water springs. The facilities are average and not absolutely clean. Also most of the employees are rude and not helpful!!Chose better to dive into the open pool with the waterfall, it's more interesting than the small private aged mini pools. Also some good food taverns in the area.
Amazing environment, superb hot springs - and nearby fabulous hotels and good tavernas - what more could anyone want for a winter break. However, with 3 different locations for the springs, it can be quite confusing as all are located right next to the river. The furthest away from the village, right in the woods is a restaurant and large open air swimming pool, open all year which is filled with hot spa water. We did not go into this pool as, in December, the temperature was too cool for us, the large area dispersing the hot water quite quickly. Lower down is what one would call the 'main' baths with the famous waterfall and the hot spa pool next to it. This also has a restaurant attached and a good size parking area ( the lift to the restaurant doesn't work). The hot pool is about 1 metre in depth and the bottom is white sand/gravel. This pool is open 24 hours and costs €2 for as long as you like. The changing facilities are basic and if possible take with you flip-flops and a bathrobe. Also a plastic bag to put your robe in as it is often raining and your towel/robe will get wet whilst you are in the pool. Also at this location are the 'private spa pools' or 'hamam'. These pools must be booked in advance (if you are lucky, as we were, you can walk in on the spot). These cost €5 per person. The small pools here have hot spring water seeping up from the bottom of the pool (gravel) so the whole experience here is gentle, quiet relaxation. The third location, called 'Alexander' and nearest the village, where there are a few stalls with local produce on the opposite side of the road, also has an open air swimming pool and 12 private hamam baths, also €5 per person. All these hamam have water fountains where the hot spring water comes out with some force, thus giving you the opportunity of a neck/shoulder/back massage from the falling water. Ask which of the hamam has either one or two water outlets. There is also a massage centre across the road where you can have a massage to complete the indulgence!Don't worry if you didn't bring your swimming costume - the tourist shop in this location actually sells swimming costumes, flip-flops and towels - a bizarre sight in December - and if you are staying at Roes Suites, they allow you to take their bathrobes to the hamam.
For 2 euros you can enjoy a hot soak and an invigorating waterfall for as long as you like. Soothingly warm even if you need a coat as soon as you get out. Changing facilities are basic, but they are close by and very convenient. The forest setting of leaves changing colours is enchanting.
Ok so less than 2 ours drive from Thessaloniki and you are surrounded from nature and hot springs and of course small tavernas with amazing food. We stayed in the village Orma,3 km walking distance from the hot springs ,which are open all 24 hours...After 21.30 is free ,while through the day you pay 2 euros for the pool outside or 15.00 euros for 2 persons in the small pools inside ,and its yours for 30 min...No destruction at all, just you and the love of your life...The water full of minerals you see the difference in your skin and hair the minute you walk out the water...we went around 00.00 for a swim,no one around freezing cold watching the heat of the water rising up into the wild, because yes...the pools are actually in the forest...Amazing valhalla for people who loves trekking...you can enjoy km of walking through the forrest, rivers, mountain and waterfalls..This is one well kept secret destination in Greece..
The scenery is amazing. Waterfalls and little lakes creating a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature. We tried to bathe at the river but it was full of people and didnt manage to find a spot, so we booked a half-hour session at the private baths which was nice. It could have been cleaner but it was not annoying to the limit of not trying it. 13 euro for 2 people, not a bad price. All in all a pleasant visit.
The place is wonderful, very nice natural beauty!!! I come here every year, but this summer think that the piscine wasn't very clean...a lot of leaves around the water and calcium all around the wall inside the piscine. The entrance for the adults and children is 3 euro and is not included coffee or something else in this price. Lots of people crowded every day in the place, so lot of money incomes, so the place must be cleaner!!! Around the piscine there is a very nice natural beauty with cold and hot (37C) water and waterfalls, many restaurants with good and cheap food (recommend a village named "Orma" at about 3km from there with an excellent restaurant named "Dionisos") and many hotels luxury or cheaper. Also there are lots of spa and massage facilities. There are also small piscine with hot water that can used individual or by small companies. Generally the place are fantastic!!!
