Horse Park Leptokaria Thesprotias is an excellent place for a 1 or 2 day trip from Ioannina or igoumenitsa, or even from further away. It is located in a place of stunning natural beauty just off the old Ioannina-Igoumenitsa road, on a mountain surrounded by two rivers, it offers a range of adventure activities from basic to fairly advanced, such as rafting, horse-riding on stunning mountain trails and through rivers, an 100 meters zip-line that lands you into the cool and refreshing waters of the Kalamas river, horse-riding lessons in a riding ring, as well as a climbing tower and playground with four small zip-lines (including two for toddlers).Also excellent are the home-made pies and pizzas served in the cafe on site. We loved sitting in the cool evening and watching photos of the adventure activities on a massive screen.Accommodation can be arranged in a beautifully renovated old farmhouse, and decorated in traditional Epirote decor.Without question, our best day out in the Ioannina region.
