noesis - science center and technology museum

We went to NOESIS and visited the Technology Park and had a wonderful time, both children and adults! There are loads of activities that show how science works, which are all very different and very entertaining! Fun for all ages! We also visited the Simulator "The Wall of China" and had an exhilarating ride!

Excellent exhibitions in the ground floor...fantastic planetarium 3D movies or animations and educational shows available for children over 4 years old...admission 5-10 euros depending on the show each time. Its a little bit far away from the center of Thessaloniki city (close to the "Cosmos Mediterranean" mall) but it is woth a visit.

A technology and science museum in Greece is something rare. Lots of exhibitions, simulators, 3d cinemas, a canteen, a cafeteria and some hot-dishes.

Admittedly the actual cinema with the night sky and the dome are fascinating as you lie back in your chair and gaze upwards. But this planetarium has much mroe to offer. It is often the venue for concerts - I attended one gioven by the Thessaloniki State Orchestra in the foyer - themes from star wars" and it was great.In addition you should not miss the restaurant which offers good healthy food at reasonable prices. A great trip if you have kids but aso for adults. Entrance is cheap.In in Thessaloniki in summer it is fantastic to sit outside on the terrace which overlooks the city and the bay - sunsets are incredible.

Planetarium was a big disappointment.Very funny, but not so safety was exhibition where everyone can play and touch exhibits.

it is a technological museum with various kind of exhibitions and small harmless scientific expirements for children and for...happy adults as well. Every summer it organises summer courses for the children with several activities. The entrance for the exhibitions is free, while you pay for the planitarium, the cosmotheatre and the emulator.

It is a place you must visit. You can learn a lot of things and you have fun at the same time. It is great for children

It is very difficult to find the place, but once you've found it is worth it! You should choose the whole tour and visit all the exhibitions. The planetarium is just impressive - but very short. we had a very good time I think we shall visit it again!

Everyone should visit ΝΟΗΣΙΣ. Besides the fact that you can learn all bunch of new scientific stuff and study theories, your kids will love it. Kids will love the museum while you can drink great coffe with great view.. Check their program so you can choose what to see when you get there!

nteresting and interactive exbititions. Great choise for all ages. Next to a large shopping mall.A little bit expensive and distanted from the city. You can get there only by car. I recomment not to try to take the bus!

NOESIS is something extraordinary! Planetarium, the projections, the Museum of Technology, and interactive section are unique! It's a great educational area for pupils, for students and for people interested in on science, on progression and the various feats of mankind. Worth to visit and to enjoy yourselves with all the activities you'll find.

A fantastic place where educational science leaves. I am very proud the Greece has a place like this. A technology museum (very very good job). A planetarium based on the state of the art technology but "Acient Greek Techonlogy Museum" is the most amazind part. No other place has this exhibition which presentes the level of science that Acient Greeks had in their times. there are many explainations for anything you see and the staff is very informed about all the parts. Highly recommended. I will visit it soon again. One time is not enough.

Great for kids and adults , only problem , young children ( ours is 4 years old ) are not allowed to get in the planetarium

The 3D effects and the Planetarium are nice, but they have poor poor in information. In the Dinosaurs 3D they presented only 3 or 4 species and in the Oesis in Space program in the Planetarium, they gave basic notions about the planets and their composition. The translation in english has moments when it got intrerupted. So its not the place for you if you are looking for at-the-moment info. It is a nice experience if you have kids and they have a lot of lovely and interesting toys!!
