We have been there last week, there is an automatic gate car park near by,that cost 2eur.There are 2 viewpoints, costs 3,5eur for an adult and 2,5for kids.Elevator is out of order.Restaurant and playground near by.
There's a viewing platform, with a lift. You can see across to Aachen, or look across to rural areas of Belgium and the Netherlands. Also some wooded areas good for walking. Nice little cafes also available (I believe it was the Belgian side of the border but hard to tell!) On the Dutch side there's a souvenir shop, though prices were rather high. Not a must-see but a nice little detour from Aachen for an hour or two.
once in a while we go there when the weather is nice . just to walk around and then sit down and drink or eat . best is on the belgian side . there you can allso climb a small tower . there are many parkingplaces for your car .i will say , we go there at least 1 time a year , just for fun
A must for those who enjoy the innocent pleasure of jumping from one country to another until tire. Not over commercialised; just a few cafes and a tower with spectacular views. Ample car parking. Great fun for all ages.
Had a lovely view from this viewpoint you can see Germany ,Belgium and The Netherlands from here. There is a viewing tower (shut when we visited) that would enhance the view.
This is an interesting place to visit, purely because you can stand in three counties at the one time. The cafe and kiosk area is too built up and ruins the view and you have to pay to go up the viewing tower which we didn't bother with. I'd recommend doing the obligatory photo with the flags at the border line and then head on to one of the local hiking trails from there. The trails around the area make an otherwise average visit much more worthwhile. We had a lovely autumnal walk in the surrounding forests, and managed to get in three countries!
The best attraction here in the three-country border must be the, yes you get it right, three-country border. There is a stone which marks the border of three countries. You can walk around the stone and congrats, you have walked around three countries in less than five seconds.Lots of people do light hiking and enjoy the nature. Wonderful view!
go on the tower to get an amazing view of the 3 different countries that meet there, price is 3euro to go up, elevator available, a restaurant in the bottom to have drinks, coffee or food. Tables and benches available closeby for picnics.
Went on a busy October afternoon. Started with the tower which now has a glass floored Skywalk 34 metres above the ground. There is a lift if you don't fancy the walk. Buy tokens to access the tower from the adjacent restaurant, which also enjoys fine views. A short walk from the tower is the maze, more restaurants and a large children's playground. Parking is plentiful.
Up a hill is the big tower marking the point were three countries meet, -------------Belgium, Holland and Germany. You can go up the high tower by lift to take in the view and/or have drinks and food in the cafe under the tower..Then you can walk back down the tower steps or get the lift back down
Place your body im three countries at the same time! Just hold the pole, put one foot in Germany, one in Belgium and the rest will be in the Netherlands. The highest point of the Netherlands is there too. There are eateries, a labyrinth, a viewing platform and woods for walks and hikes.
Don't be fooled, as I was, by thinking that the three giant flags are where the countries come together... There is a stone marker with three flags you can hold in your hands for a photo. People from all over come and someone will be happy to photograph your family together with the marker. Free parking, lovely woods, well marked trails are all great, but the playground (also free) kept my 14 yr old and 11 yr old busy for an hour!! I wasn't expecting that!! There are three different towers to climb or elevator for a magnificent view. I paid 7 euro for three of us to go up and it was worth it. There is supposedly a great pancake house but we never found it. If the weather's nice, this is a "Can't miss" kind of place. We did not do the hedge maze or waterpark which were for a fee. I'm sure they were lovely. There was also a bike road race going on which made it fun to cheer for the racers.
Our family had a great time visiting this location. Very beautiful view and the kids had fun visiting the point where all three country boarders converge. Great place to hike and/or bicycle and enjoy the natural surroundings. There are a few restaurants in the vicinity although we arrived late in the afternoon after most things were closed. We still had a great time and truly enjoyed the views.
It is really a nice spot one should visit with friends/familyThere is fun for the small ones (maze, playground) and for the grown up (tower, restaurants, etc.)
We climbed the steps of the viewing tower to get a really good view of the beautiful surrounding area which includes the borders of 3 countries - Germany, Belgium & the Netherlands. There was a lift available for those who struggle with steps. There were a few cafes near the tower with reasonably priced snacks & drinks.A good opportunity to take photos/videos!
