小朋友小动物的天堂,安静祥和,价格便宜,办了张年卡天气好常常去散步。老人孩子很多在里面玩,网球场和足球场都很规范。
Child-friendly playground, birds, nature park. The park is very large with different playgrounds, small train going around the whole park.
It's a beautiful place! It was a business trip to Essen bur we couldn't looose this chance to viait a turistic place in Essen. In December, there is a Christmas Market also in Essen. Typical food qnd interesting souveniers wit good prices!
Very nice, soothing, contemplative botanical Park in the heart of Essen. Nice for a family stroll or a weekend picnic.
The park is very large with different playgrounds, small train going around the whole park. There are often different markets there and also a large rainforest/desert area where there are many different plants to see.
We took the grugabahn which stopped at 4 different stations. You can walk to the different areas of the park & get back on again if it is too taxing to walk the whole park. they have lots of sculptures, fascinating and interesting...
nice place to spend the afternoon with kids, activities available, food, nice walking area, swimmingand attractions. The botanical garden is great.
At the Gruga, there is a place for everyone. Either you go to one of the many playgrounds with your kids or your grab your book and find a tiny bench hidden by trees and disappear into your novel. Also plenty of opportunities for the sporty ones among us!
It is great, huge, lots of things for kids to do, a small train that's really nice (toddlers pay too) and plenty of different parks for different ages. In summer there is a small splashing pool for toddlers and a petting zoo. There are pony rides for 1€. However the only time we would even think of going is when we get the Ferienpass for the holidays and every person can get in for 1€ each. Otherwise the 4,50 € per person is prohibitive.
The botanical garden is built of several different gardens of different themes with multiple different plants, flowers, trees, an in-house tropical garden and inhouse desert landscape and much more. It also has several big playgrounds for kids, a small swimming pool and several free spa facilities (Kneipp-Bad, etc) and restaurants and shops. I always visit the park when I am in Essen.
Lakes and trains and restaurants and cafes and birds and animals and bars and LIFE!This fabulous park is also at a great location of your'e there for an event at Messe Essen.
Staying at hotel next to park and after a busy week of great industrial museums fancied a change on an autumn morning. The 4 euro entrance fee is well worth the money. There are formal gardens, a small petting zoo, a train to ride 30 mins round the whole park for an extra 3 euro and places to sit and enjoy the wonderful landscapes. You are encouraged to be part of the gardens by little paths trailing through the wild flower areas and deck chairs and benches. The sensory garden smells wonderful and information points help explain things. Lots of cafes to get Bratwursts and coffee plus a full restaurant. Good place for children as lots of climbing and things to explore. A good morning and could have been more if we had time. Don't miss the pelicans.
This park is very versatile. You have different playgrounds for Kids, a Petting zoo, a small lake where you can walk around, Minigolf, Tennis Courts, a Basketball court, a narrow-gauge railway, a birds park, flower fields and a wide range of green spaces where you an have a picknick and chill out.
very nice place to get some rest. Excellent beer garden, with one the most fantastic beer - Stauder . Small train you can ride thru Gruga Park and enjoy ambient..there is a part which is with free entrance, but when you want to see more - crossing the gates - you have to pay. After 6PM entrance is free ....
A large municipal park with botanic gardens. I liked the greenhouses and the area planted with perennial plants and grasses. There is an area of small demonstration gardens that was well done. There were no maps of the park at the entrance I used (conservatory cafe) but I did manage to find one later.
