This is our 2nd visit to Legoland park but 1st time in Legoland Germany. We were there during the Autumn school break. So there wasn't many people for the rides and attractions. And since it was nearly Halloween, the park had special corners where there's a mini scary hut like passage way. My husband and older boy went and was thrilled by it. The whole park was decorated with spiders, witches, mummies etc and it really created a nice festive ambiance. Staffs were friendly despite the language barrier, we had little problem buying lunch or some souvenirs there. Although I can not get over the fact that schnitzel are the only food that seem to be selling in almost every food stall? More food variety would be great. We went for the water games and it was really fun! Got a bit wet in the process but dried off using the walk in dryer, which the 4 of us could enter. If we were to visit during summer time, there is no need for this walk in dryer. The playground scattered around the park is really amazing. Its the best place to pass the time when either one parent is going on the ride with one child and the other can play (when ride is not of age or height or simply not interested). Age and height indicators at the entrance of every attraction are really helpful. We spent our down time in this building your own race car room. Now some people may consider Legoland a rip off. Tell me which attraction park isn't a rip off? When we decided to come here, we are pretty prepared to be at least getting our 2 boys a set of Legos each and only up to a max amount. If parents aren't able to communicate this limit to their children and then complain about it, there is no point coming to these parks. Do not come here if you are on a tight budget or are not into mass tourism or just not a Lego fan. In all honesty, I'd say spend a day and a half in Legoland is more than enough. We did not book the Legoland hotel as we feel it is just too much. We stayed in a lovely hotel nearby which took about 10 mins drive to get to. Much better value for your money.I would give this Legoland a Very Good rating but decided against it. Some buildings and attraction need serious up grading, new coat of paint, wash or even repair. More food variety will be fantastic. Staffs should at least know some English.
Legoland offers 1-year-passes which do not cost much more than a double-entry or you can buy Merlin-passes which will give you free entry to Legoland plus many more European holiday parks for 1 year. If you travel a lot, don't miss to buy that. I try to keep this short for you readers: The place seems not as big as other huge holiday parks like Europa-Park or Disney-Land but there are still a lot of attractions for watching and riding. If you can, come on working days outside German holiday times or you may have to spend much time in the wainting lines like in every crowded holiday park. Most attractions are for children 3-12. The rubber floor playground is big and a paradise for children 2-6 (better bring bathing clothes for your kids or a 2nd set of clothes as there are some water games active, depending on the weather). The wooden playground is nice for children 4-10. Children older than 12 and adults can enjoy the miniature Lego buildings, shows and few action attractions limited to upper ages. There are various restaurants and snack shops. You can definitely have a nice family day in Legoland as long as it is not raining. If you want to know details about Lego, its origins and some data and facts, you can get it there and even see a small Lego-brick manufacturing hall. Of course you can buy all the latest Lego stuff there as well. I can especially recommend this place to families with younger children (<12). If you can stay overnight and spend some more time, don't miss to visit the old town of Guenzburg. It is one of the nicest old towns in Germany at all and its market place is really a must-see with all its Cafes and historic buildings and churches. If you catch a sunny day there you will definitely love that beautiful old town. We'll come back to Legoland soon.
Dear Gregory, thank you very much for visiting LEGOLAND Deutschland. It is our goal to make the stay for our visitiors unique and pleasant. Our guest’s contentment concerns us highly. We are sorry to hear that overall you did not enjoy your stay. Our offer is primarily aimed at families with children between 2 and 12 years. We think to give our guests a very fair price performance. We apologize for the inconvenience your negative opinion has been caused and hope to welcome you once more again in LEGOLAND Deutschland. Best regards, Werner DullmaierDirector Operations
The last two years we had the most incredible adventure with our children [7 and 9 years old] in Legoland. We had fun two days. We tried all the attractions. Our children want more and more and more. This year we will again visit this magical place! :)
Nice weekend trip with friends. Just few hours from Prague by car. We were a group of adults without children but we enjoyed the park so much! A lot of funny attractions (especially roller coaster in the castle and water rides are the best!). A lot of nice things to see (aquarium and mini Europe are fantastic places) .
For adults is there only ane cool atraction "PIZZA MANIA", This park is only for kids from 3-7, and lego fan.
The park is great; there are many facilities for having fun. Also the kids and the parents can have a lot of fun all day long; it is a park for whole family. We spent 2 days there and had very much fun. We liked the most the green dragon, the wave racer, the project X test track. We also enjoyed the exposition of replica Lego cities. Tips:1- don’t forget the raincoat and towels if you plan to go and play at “Pirates Island”-there is a lot of fun splashing others from pirate's ship.2- it's better to buy tickets on line in order to avoide long queues.
This was the second Legoland we visited with the family, quite the same content as in Denmark. No disapointments, we can gladly recommend this Place for all families with younger kids. If you are looking to buy legos, the shop was not quite what we expected. The prices are the same as on the high street and also one would expect more selection.
Legoland was a lot of fun. But if you are going during holiday season (summer months) then expect to stand on long lines. My sons favorite was a driving lesson (it was in german but they accommodated him somehow) and then he went out into a simulated city street with an electric car and drove around practicing his newly learned skills such as yielding during an intersection and so on. His favorite thing was to run the car through the car wash. When he was done he received a drivers license. This is the sort of thing you just don't find in the U.S. For this ride you just go and schedule an appointment for the lesson so no waiting on line.
I brought my 6 and 8 year old daughters to Legoland. I was very happy w/the parking situation and the online pay-ahead service is nice. The park itself isn't compared to Disneyland as far as cleanliness is concerned, but I was happy w/the experience. I think 10 years old is the age limit for most of the rides and the park itself is large but not overwhelming. The park is definitely worth the experience if you're nearby, but it's not worth a 6 hour drive like I did from our home in Italy. Book ahead online and pay for parking also. It's worth your time!
This is our first Legoland visit. The new Star Wars creation and all other Lego sets in this whole park was truly amazing. The rides was good, the kids had fun here. Very creative Lego sets beautifully done for each theme- Egypt, dragon castle, Ninjago was simply fabulous. We admired all with awe.The online booking was helpful, we escaped the long waiting queue. It took us one whole day to cover this park. The food was acceptable, there were chinese based rice for the Asians. We could get vegetarian dishes as well. One must bring water since it was rather hot in July end. But, the queues in July was shorter, not much crowd. We could custom make our souveniers such as printing names on sleeves, mugs. We took train to Gunzburg and the shuttle bus to Legoland. Bus schedule was frequent and the drivers were friendly. We had a good a time in Legoland...a place for all for fun, creativity and great holiday plan.
Visited in May 2014 along with 2 kids. Kids had a smashing time. But after visiting many other theme parks in Europe was a bit disappointed with the rides and overall atmosphere at the park.
We booked the VIP tour package and the knights room in the castle. I must say that we got everything worth, infact more than the worth of money spent. The services and the arrangments were beyond expectations. The best part were the tour guides : Mr Tony and Mr Benny!Really : we have had tours in other amusement parks before but this tour and these 2 amazing people are the best in every way!The VIP tour included VIP access to all rides any number of times, backstage, meet and greet, workshop access and the best part customized lunch and breaks in their amazing restaurants with beautifully decorated reserved tables...... everything that defines fun and royalty.Thanking the entire team of the tour committee, Tony for becoming my son's buddy and companion in almost all the rides that once scared him.Highly recommending this to all those who want to gift their kids an experience of a life time!!!
We went for the last weekend before it closed for the winter. Wonderful fun experience had by all. We stayed in the Knights bedroom with birthday package. The room is fantastic and the birthday package was good but a bit expensive for what you get. We also booked the gourmet breakfast which we loved. There are loads of play area's everywhere and our son had a really amazing time. The park was reasonly busy Sunday but we did not have to queue much. Fireworks were breathtaking. An all round wonderful experience.
Not knowing how to speak German, I felt out of place. Maps were all in German. However, all the employees went out of their way to help us. Ate at pizza mania, food was great and inexpensive. This is the 3rd Legoland park I've been to, and it's just as good as the others. My only complaint is that the wait time signs were totally inaccurate. But that wasn't a big deal. Will definitely come back...
