A nice little narrow gauge railway. It runs every Sunday from May to October. Once a month it is steam hauled, otherwise there is vintage railcar. It's a 55 minute ride through unspoilt countryside to Gerstteten. Here you will find reasonably priced drinks and hot German sausage but little else. So on a nice day you can picnic outside whilst awaiting the return train. The railway is easy to find - it's just off the platform of the railway from Stuttgart with a frequent service. A nice family day out or one for enthusiasts to tick off their list.
