town hall (rathaus)

位于集市广场，建于1435年的市政厅属于文艺复兴风格，绘满了人物和装饰线条图案，非常华丽，这些人物大概都是蒂宾根的名人。顶端的天文钟也有500多年历史了。

This is a beautiful Rathaus, lovingly restored and I'm sure the subject of thousands of photographs. Right now there is scaffolding covering part of the exterior but I imagine all the work will be done in time for the summer tourist season.

The Rathaus square is just wonderful and picturesque. There are great cafes that you can sit at and have a beer or a coffee to enjoy the square. Its wonderful during the Weihnachts Markt too. This is a perfect pitstop on your way to the castle.

You must be here at Town Hall to see the beautiful german architecture preserved and many shops around the town hall. it will prompt you to take as many pictures as you can. your whole family will love this place as it has good shops,eating places and just to relax.

The impressive town hall of Tübingen dominates the market place. The classical old building is decorated with murals and varied art pieces, on his top a baroque gable decorated with clocks and a spire towering over. Although nowadays the spectacular building is under a process of renovation until next year, don't miss this architectural and artistic masterpiece.

Amazing place…the irregularity of the houses surrounding the square is most astonishing. A really nice place to stop by when walking by night, as during the day it is quite crowded.

I have visited the interior of the building like a resident. We was at the end of the day and the building was almost empty and i was starting to go arround the rooms to see how they look like inside. I went to the last foor and i have entered into some kind of meeting room ...there was no one inside. From the top floor you can admire the beautiful buildings from the main square.

I don't know the age of the Town Hall (it was closed when I went there), but knowing that the castle has been there since at least 1078 AD, it's OLD. Amazing to see the history, and the artwork on the building is beautiful.

Don't know how long it is closed for but I was a bit disappointed as no entry also renovations spoilt picture opportunities.

You MUST go check out the elevator for a laugh if you are in the area!!! There may be an area to grab a bite. We just ran in to ride the lift, and get a higher view of downtown.

I visited the Rathaus which is situated in a beautiful square on a lovely sunny day. I enjoyed the ambience and watching families walking, and visitors sitting having coffees and crepes.

Its a beautiful building with some open space in front (this is what the town needs). One thing which struck me as weird was that the building was asymmetric. I was told that it is due to construction in parts

Beautiful, old german town square with so much to see. Wonderful town hall with it's architecture and history. Great family outing!

The Rathaus is the crown jewel of Tubingen's Marktplatz. This beautiful building provides a stunning backdrop for tourists and locals alike. I highly recommend taking up residence at an outdoor cafe in the Marktplatz and taking the time to explore this stunning visual.
