The building served as a summer residence, at present it houses present three art collections and foundations such as Porcelaine de Paris / 19th century painters from the region Rhein-Main-Neckar / paintings and watercolors of the Berliner Secession (Max Liebermann collection). Built in Wertheim-Eichel for Count Friedrich Ludwig von Dietrich Gottlieb Betschler in 1777, lies the Rococo "castle in the backyard" in a beautiful English park. 1870 During the Franco-German war the building was used as military hospital, for an annual rent of 400 Guilder let from 1873 (amongst it many tenants writer and journalist Otto von Corvin).
