As this place is located in the forest only accessable on foot parking in the middle of the forrest at the end of a not digitalized road it is the only option to let your navigation system know where you like to go. Do not follow its advice all to the end though but follow the brown signs that will lead you right to a small parking area from where it is a 10 minute walk down the hill to the mine.This place rocks! They do have one of the best playgrounds I ever seen in my life including an old train that the kids can discover and a play-mineshaft! The mine is only accessable with a guide. For a medium fee he will guide you through the real mineshaft and explain to you all about mercury mining. There are two different tours available - we did stick to the small tour of about one hour and learned a lot. There is a longer tour available that will take you deeper into the mine.Food is great - much of the meat comes from a local hunter (deer and boar sausage etc.).
