I really loved going to this place. It is worth going every single step to the top of the tower. From the very top the junction of both rivers can be seen. The main Rhein and the "Nahe". While going up, there are also some vineyards which are very interesting to view from those of us which are unfamiliar with them.A very well worth experience to visit.

This is worth the walk up just for the view. The view is of the river and area and is well worth the walk.

Bingen is the south entrance of the Rhine valley and you can get an impressive view from the top of the tower of Klopp Castle (Burg Klopp). The entrance to the tower is free as the parking.If you do not have the courage to climb the stairs, you can still enjoy the view at the castle level.

Great view, short walk from town, and lots of of well kept, nicely arranged seating areas, could easily spend an afternoon here sat on the hill-top, reading a book. Cafe at the top, but i didn't have much of a look.

Must visit for the view of Bingen and the Rhine ... Simply superb! Amazing panorama and an easy climb from the town. Did not visit the restaurant.

built on the Basements of an medieval Castle pretending ancient, as it was the Fashion in the 1850's - it houses some City Administration and a nice Restaurant with a perfect view. Reservations are highly recommended

Not much of a castle; a nice tower and a more modern building--that's about it. The grounds are nice and the views over Bingen and the Rhein are fantastic! However, the "castle" was a bit of a disappointment. Walk down the trail in the back of the grounds to Bingen. There's a market on Saturdays just down the hill, cafes, and an easy walk to the shopping district. Limited parking on castle grounds, but some free parking nearby; no entry fee to enter the grounds or climb the tower.

walked to Burg Klopp from the NH Bingen. The castle is very nice, the view is even better. Did not try the restaurant that is there.

There is a tower to climb that offers unrivalled views of Bingen and surrounds. Be prepared for several flights of stairs, though. There is actually not much more to a visit to this castle, though. Most of the castle is now used as offices and so not open for visits. There is also a restaurant on the grounds, but I cannot comment as we did not stop there.

Yay! TripAdvisor added my suggestion of this great castle! The tower to the castle was pretty easy to find (we spotted it from our Rhine River cruise) just meandering the streets of Bingen. When you walk up to the castle grounds, there is a restaurant (looked pretty good... there was a party going on when we were there), a nice playground overlooking the city, and some nice vantage points from old (what I'm assuming were) watchtowers. The door to the large tower is just open and you don't pay a fee. The walk up isn't too strenuous. Once at the top, you have 360 degree views of Bingen and the Rhine River. Definitely worth going to if you make the day trip.There are WC's down by the restaurant. Next to that building, there is a kind of sunken-in-garden with rose bushes and a locked shed-small tower type structure.If you walk to the front of the castle, by the playground, there is some terraced seating with stairs leading down back to town which ends at a nice fountain.

Шли по набережной Рейна в Бингенеив месте слияния с Нэа повернули на набережную этой реки. Пока шли до моста Друсуса стемнело. К замку поднимались уже в темноте. Башня замка при этом освещалась. Сам замок был закрыт, но на территории можно было прогуляться. Виды на Рейн шикарные. На всей территории мы были одни. Это понравилось!

Wir haben haben angenehmen "Gourmetabend" in der Burg Klopp zu Weihnachten erlebt.DasPreis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt.Das Interieur ist ansprechend ohne zu aufdringlich zu sein.Allerdings würde ein wärmeres evtl . dezent abstrahlenderes Licht die Atmosphäre verbessern.Die Bedienung ist bemüht,teilweise freundlich,der "Ober"Kellner (erschien lediglich zum Abkassieren,sehr geschäftsmäßig.Eine andere Aufgabe könnte ihn ja vielleicht Gäste zugewandterwerden lassen...).Wesentlich aber: ein ansprechendes Weihnachtsmenü ,das auch in seinenNuancen Leib und Augen wohl gefiel.Tip: Austausch dieses "Ober-Kellners"(vielleicht ja auch Chef)und ein gesamtes neues und durchdachtes Lichtdesign wären weiterePunkte wert...

Мне замок понравился, хотя отреставрирован местами действительно не очень. Виды на Рейн и город Бинген действительно замечательные. Порадовал бесплатный вход-редкость для Германии.

Ancienne forteresse des évêques de Mayence, la montée au Burg Klopp est essentiellement intéressante pour la superbe sur sur Bingen.

Die Burg sieht von weiten beeindruckend aus. Von innen ist sie leider nicht zu besichtigen, da die Stadtverwaltung der Stadt Bingen hier ihre Unterkunft gefunden hat. Die Außenanlagen sind ok jedoch nichts besonderes. Die Aussicht von oben ins Tal ist schön.
