Fano is a small town, but with a very long and important history, so you walk among the narrow streets of the old part of the town and you discover such a beautiful and well preserved structure! Very nice to see.

It's a original Roman Arch, builted by Augusto, a Roman Imperator, in 7 a.c. The visitors can see a original stones posted there.

Fano is a really amazing city with little tourist information after the summer season, but the monuments, like this one, are very impressive.

Having a walk in the historic part of Fano is always nice, and for sure you can start at the nice Arco di Augusto!And when you are tired stop for a nice gelato or coffee in one of the various bar in the city center.

Was a little hesitant at first to go to Fano, but we had a few days left before the end of the trip and want to spend it in Italy still, by the sea. But we stopped in all cases in Fano and I was overwhelmed when I got there. It felt like I was in the then Ostia antica or Pompei. The city was built in the same style like these two antica cities, ie tiles small and thin as then etc.. We stayed there for five days and I enjoyed every evening strolling through Fano, and under the arc also understood.

If you ask in advance at the TI over the summer they can put together an English tour for you. We saw this as the start of our Fano underground tour! We had been here months and never realized there was even underground ruins until we took a guided tour.

This 2,000 year-old roman arch is beautiful. It's not as huge as other structures, but it's very preserved and should not be missed. Take also a walk around to see the statue of Augustus and go up on the roman walls on Pincio Square - both just a few (steps from the arch).

The Arco di Augusto is the original Roman gateway to the city facing the Flaminia that leads to Rome. The arco and the adjacent wall to the city Fano truly is a wonder to behold.

Questa x me è la porta principale di fano a cui sono legato da immensi ricordi .....sorrisi e a volte lacrime di commozione ...per una città si piccola ma dal cuore grande che sa donare tanto a chi la visita ....ricordo ancora la prima volta CGE lo vidi e non ci sara mai una "ultima" ...

Spettacolare arco che risale ai primi anni dopo Cristo che costituisce la fine della via Flaminia e l'inizio del centro di Fano.Spettacolare e caratteristico.Suo fronte al sabato ci sono numerosi banchetti dell'antiquariato con bellissimi mobili e prodotti biologici.Adiacene all'arco c'è anche una bellissima chiesetta e una galleria da esposizione.anche giardino con panchine dove d'estate si organizzano eventi.

Se si passa a Fano non si può non apprezzare l'Arco che segna l'arrivo della Flaminia sull'Adriatico da oltre 2000 anni

Bello e pittoresco l'antico arco romano che appartiene al complesso delle mura interne della città..Maestoso e dal bel effetto ottico..Uno dei più belli archi cittadini che abbia visto

L'Arco d'Augusto, e le strutture nelle quali si trova inserito sono molto belle e particolari. Descrivono in modo significativo come la storia di ogni borgo italiano sia intricata e frutto della sovrapposizione delle generazioni che si sono succedute con la loro attività

L'accesso al centro storico di Fano inizia con lArco d'Augusto : e' solo l'inizio di una piacevole passeggiata che vi lascerà' un bel ricordo

Ai limiti dell'area Pedona chiusa al traffico, l'arco di Augusto costrito nell'anno 9 dall'imperatore permette di entrare nel delizioso centro medievale di Fano
