Parco Villa Gregoriana is something what you shoudn't miss when you visit Tivoli. The educational trail takes you along all waterfalls of Tivoli down to valley of Inferno, a bottom of former lake that has disappeared during floods 100 b.c. The park is located just few minutes by foot from a railway station and around 10 minutes of walking from Villa d'Este. The whole trip through the park takes you something between 1.5 and 2 hours. Be prepared that the way to the exit leads up to steep hill but I really recommend you to do not get discouraged. You will be awarded by many amazing views on panorama of waterfalls.

Walk from Villa d'Este to here, and it takes about 15 mins. Follow the brown tourist signage that directs you here. From the entrance, you walk down and down and down. There are clear signage to direct you through various tracks. I managed to see a fall waterfall, and the blue beautiful gorge. Loved getting lost in the park. Was rushing to walk up quickly and it can be a pretty tiring process. Do remember to give yourself ample time to reach the exit.

Went here on my 21st birthday, this is probably the most beautiful places i have ever been too, amazing scenery very clean with lots of waterfalls, ruins, caves and forestry. The whole place is just amazing. GO HERE!

Very pretty walk down the gorge and back up. This will work up a hunger for a large dinner in a Tivoli restaurant. Take the camera.

The place is very different from crowded Rome, there are no many visitors there, and the waterfalls views are fascinating. You have no doubt about Heaven as well as Hell existence there. Worth going!!!

I have been to a lot of major American canyons-- imagine a small lush one of those-- with ruins inside and a temple! This is the charm of Italy. Alot more than the recommended 1.5 hours because there are some meandering paths and you will want to double back. Cooler inside than in the surrounding town thanks to the shade and waterfall.

Steep climbs, in this rural rough "garden" with it's very blue lake, and waterfalls as where you in the jungle of Asia.It will cost you about 1,5 hour to see it all.

I would recommend you to go to this quite place and forget about crowded Rome for a day and enjoy the nature. Visit both D’Este and Gregoriana villas, they complement each other so well! Gregoriana is very quite – we didn’t see any tourist groups during our visit and nature is absolutely gorgeous there – many waterfalls and caves and green hills!

A beautiful place to visit, alot of stairs, but it was a really pretty and romanitc place to be, was 6 euros per person and it took us 3 hours to do as we couldnt stop taking pictures of the scenery. I would reccomend this park as a nice day out away from rome, 40 minutes on the train and cost us both 6 euros to get there my train. Was a lovely day and will never forget it.

The remains of a medieval building overlook a gorge featuring several waterfalls and gorgeous vistas. A beautiful walk through the trees on a sunny day.

Never before have we been surrounded by such incredible landscapes, right out of a fairytale! There were mysterious, moss-covered grottos, picturesque vistas of fantastic greenery mixed with roman ruins and magnetically gorgeous, tumbling waterfalls everywhere. We particularly liked the Mermaid Lagoon. This is a place that has been inspiring artists and writers for decades. Now we understand why!!Definitely go see it.

We came to Tivoli to see Villa d'Este but we decide to see this one as well.It will take about an hour or more to do the trail which leads from one side of the ravine down into the bottom and up the other side. Along the way you will see caves, rapids, ruins, a temple and waterfalls. So there is something for everyone. The path can be quite steep and uneven so you need to be in good shape and have good shoes. I wouldn't attempt this in flip-flops. Also, I would recommend having some insect spray with you. The place wasn't overrun by mosquitoes by any means, but they were there in the shady parts.

A gorgeous park with a rich history, which is well described in signage with English and Italian. Unlike many parks, this one takes you on a one way path visiting various significant archeological and natural sites, including a stunning waterfall, ancient roman buildings (Neptune's grotto is particularly beautiful) and the Mermaid's grotto (a nice cool reprieve at the bottom of the ravine). The only place worthwhile visiting in Tivoli!

This is another part of Rome worth visiting - for the hydraulic feat of diverting a river and creating an even more spectacular water fall - and just for the beauty of the scenery. However this is a water-feature and it is wet - don't try it without sensible non-slippy shoes and be prepared for a hike uphill on the other side of the ravine!

My husband and I decided to tour this park. We are seniors and it was trecherous in some spots and quite a long trek. There were beautiful views and lovely waterfalls and great spots for photos but a little too much unlevel grounds and steps. I would not suggest adding this to your schedule if you are not in really good shape.
