This very intimate winery was a hidden treasure amongst the rolling hills and winding roads of Bosetti. We visited in Novemeber on quite a cold, misty and miserable day however were soon cheered up by the hospitality and special wine Remo Hohler offers. The owner shared his passion, insight and views of the wine industry with us and made us feel welcome from the get go. It was a really great to experience this family operated winery as opposed to the grand mass-produced wineries. Thanks again! The Australians.

Rarely have I had the pleasure of finding such a jewel in such an unlikely place. I became aquatinted with Pian Bosco, Remo Hohler's signature Barbera, several years ago, while visiting Alba during the truffle season. We were at dinner when the owner recommended Pian Bosco. I was so impressed with the quality and depth I took the producers name and phone number and called him the next day. I ended up purchasing multiple cases of his wines and striking up a friendship and admiration for the producer, owner, and genius behind the wine. Remo truly puts his soul and heart into this limited, handmade, biological production. While not producing his own label in lesser quality years, he maintains the highest standard for his product. He is the most atypical producer I have met. He starts with a love of the soil and plant and believes with proper balance the product will take care of itself, and he has proven himself correct! He believes the plants know when your energy is positive and respond accordingly and make a superior product. Remo is welcoming and always gracious and I STRONGLY recommend a visit if you are anywhere close to his winery. I hope to be purchasing Remo Hohler's wine for many years to come! You will be hard pressed to find a better quality product at twice his price or a winemaker who puts more energy and himself into his yield! FIVE STARS ***** Remo!

The Azienda Agricola Hohler http://www.hohler.it/de/home.html is a small place, this really makes a change to all the big producers in the region (like Coppo; Bosca or Gancia). Hohler "only" produces two types of wine: pure Barbera and the "Insieme", a blend of Barbera and Nebbiolo. But HOW he produces that wine: as a passion! It is a family run vineyard, you will be treated very personal and individual. Remo Hohler (who, by the way is Swiss, but lives since years in Cassinasco) or his wife Lina (who is Italian) will be pleased to show you the "Cantina" (the wine cellar) and/or the vineyard!

Nel cuore della Langa Astigiana, al di fuori delle solite mete, ho potuto degustare con il titolare Remo, personaggio di peso, umile e modesto, i suoi ottimi vini che sono l'espressione del grande lavoro e impegno profusi per la creazione dell'eccellenza.

Der Besuch auf der Azienda Agricola Hohler war eine Weindegustation der etwas anderen Art. Nach einem unkomplizierten Empfang landeten wir rasch einmal im Weinkeller und hielten das erste feine Glas Barbera in der Hand. Dazu führten wir mit dem Besitzer Remo Hohler angeregte Diskussionen über die ökologische Weinproduktion, wobei wir alle einige neue Ansätze erfahren haben. "Geht es der Pflanze gut, wird es der Wein auch" lautet sein Credo und nach der Degustation waren wir uns alle einig, dass es den Rebstöcken auf diesem Weingut besonders gut gehen muss: die Weine sind ausnahmslos harmonisch und sehr bekömmlich!Auf den Besuch von weiteren Weingütern haben wir danach gerne verzichtet, zu einmalig war die Stippvisite auf der Azienda Hohler.Die 6 Jungen aus der Schweiz, die gar nicht mal so unsympathisch waren...

In gita nelle langhe e su consiglio di un amico che già li conosceva, siamo andati a visitare la cantina Hohler e ovviamente a degustare i loro vini.Bellissima e umile realtà famigliare immersa nelle mitiche langhe. Dopo una entusiasmante e istruttiva gita tra i filari in compagnia di Remo che ci ha narrato come nascono i suoi vini ecologici (..."bio è morto"...cit.), siamo finito nella piccola cantina circondati da bottiglie e barbera in affinamento per degustare la barbera e l'insieme.Entrambi proprio buoni e di carattere, ma sopratutto: "espressione piena della terra da cui nascono" cit.Grazie Remo e Lina per averci fatto di nuovo innamorare del piemonte.Consigliatissimo.

vini fantastici ottimo il barbera qualita'/prezzo assoluti. tappa obbligatoria se vi torvate tra langhe e monferrato.

Un'ottima cantina per cui vale la pena fermarsi a comprare due bottiglie, vini fantastici prodotti con passione, tappa perfetta per una bella gita tra langhe e monferrato!
