The Arch is at the other end of Rimini from the Roman Bridge and is an important historical landmark. Constructed from a softer stone than the bridge, it is quite badly eroded. although the main features are still evident. Nice to sit and watch everyday life passing by - it is part of the town and quite free of touristic tack!

The Arch of Augustus at Rimini was dedicated to the Emperor Augustus by the Roman Senate in 27 BC and is the oldest Roman arch which survives. The gate's principal function, aside from functioning as a city gate, was to support the lavish bronze statue of Augustus. The battlements on the upper part date to the Medieval period (10th century). It remained one of the city gates until the Fascist period, when the city wall was demolished and the arch was left as an isolated monument.

I pass by here often and I look at it and it think it's nice such an old monument that it's still well preserved , it's also the main attraction of rimini downtown I would suggest to check it

An Imposing Roman arch is set off in a traffic oval andserves as an entry point to the old town. Remains of the old town wall extend from the arch along side a lovely park that serves as a boundary to part of the old town and a traffic free zone for cyclists and walkers.

The arch stands at the opposite end of the Corso d'August to the Tiberius bridge and its well worth walking from one to the other.Considering the arch was dedicated in 27BC its in amazing condition.

I liked this place! It was a start of our observing of an old city of Rimini. There is a great bicycle road around this memorial.

This is an interesting monument, but I don't think rimini sells it as such. The area is run down. There are no coffee bars or anywhere to get anything to eat. Which is a shame

The arch is a short walk from the town center. If you go to see it, plan on spending a few minutes there and taking some nice photos.

Well, um, clearly a lot of history attached to it, but visually it's a bit dull. It's an arch. Nothing much around it to contextualise it. Looks like it's lost its way and landed there by accident. If you're in the square in the middle of the Old Town you'll see it, but don't make a special journey or you'll be disappointed, unless you're really turned on by such things. At least you can cross the Tiberius Bridge (in Rimini). It's hard to engage with this one. It's just there.I suppose the best thing is that you can walk right up to it and under it. At least it's not fenced off. However, if you leave the Old Town by this exit, and cross the road, there's a pretty walk/cycle ride through a park down to the promenade and beach.

A must see place in the heart of Rimini. Very good location - if you go for a walk in the historic centre you can't miss it.

I have seen plenty of ruins. This is in good shape, but it is still an arch. If you have never seen one before you may be very impressed. What is impressive is that it withstood wars and time.

It is considered to be one of the most visited ancient arches in Rimini and Italy. It is like a symbol of Caesar Oktavian Epoch.

Wandering in Rimini city center is discovering some amazing architectural pieces of Ancient Rome, being the Arco d'Augusto the most famous and stunning one.

A really great example of ancient Roman, makes you realise what an important part Rimini played in ancient times.

Yes thisl one still stays here, where it was first built. You can feel the aura of the many people from the old times went through it.
