The Duomo is not amaaazing when viewed from outside (as the rest of the city), but was really beautiful inside! Worth getting there!

it will not take you so much time visit Acireale,just a couple of hours but you will like it......be carefull to go by car or use the train but to reach the centre I suggest to take a taxi because the bus doesn't run regularly...let me say they have no fixed time and if they have sometimes they are not just coming....

Always interesting to see the duomo of a town and this is no exception. Don't go out of your way but if you are there have a gander.

The dom square is absolutely great. We were surprised about the beauty of Catania. Yiu can easily spend a day walking around in the centre.

Located in piazza Duomo the cathedral is a very important monument with baroque dominating parts of it.You can reach it easily since is very centrally located.

The Duomo is, like any Duomo in Sicilia, a work of art and worth seeing. It was great to be at Carnevale and see everyone gathered at the Duomo to view the floats. Sicily is wonderful in how the ancient is used and just a part of everyday life...incorporated into the celebrations and festivals of today. A wonderful mix.

It closes around 12:30 and does not open again until the afternoon, so be sure to plan your trip to see this gem.

The small fishing villages were very pretty. Taormina was stunning but over-run by tourist. A nightmare to drive around this area especially up the coast road.

Found this beautiful cathedral while spending an afternoon in Acireale shopping, eating delicious gelatto and drinking coffee. There are so many beautiful buildings in Catania but this was nice than them. Well worth visiting this buiding and town. Loads of art.in the cathedral too!

Di sera sono stata accompagnata da una collega a vedere il Duomo di Acireale avevamo poco speranza di trovare la chiesa aperta invece siamo riusciti a visitarla ed è veramente bellissima merita di essere rivista alla luce del sole.

Splendida struttura, la abbiamo visitata per la prima volta durante le feste di carnevale, ci è piaciuta davvero molto , soprattutto perchè rappresenta lo stile barocco allo stato puro..Mi sono davvero tanto piaciuti i dipinti in stile barocco..Peccato solo che nel sagrado non ci sia la giusta attenzione per il decoro che questa struttura merita.

Durante le giornate del Carnevale abbiamo potuto ammirare alcune bellezze barocche tra le quali il Duomo realizzato nel XV secolo e arricchito e ampliato negli anni grazie a molte donazioni. La Chiesa é legata al culto di Santa Venera, protettrice della città, le cui reliquie sono custodite dentro alla chiesa. All'interno si può ammirare anche una importante meridiana orizzontale eseguita nel 1843 oltre a bellissimi affreschi di pittori messinesi. Da apprezzare con più calma.

Molto bello il Duomo, fantastici dipinti, tutto in stile barocco. Lo consiglio a chi fa una visita a questa Città.

Acireale é toda linda, vale muito a pena dar uma volta a pé pelo local, a vista é deslumbrante. procure conhecer a historia mitológica do lugar.

Il Duomo è molto bello ma nel sagrato ho visto molto degrado, peccato ci vorrebbe poco a tener pulito, merita comunque una visita per contemplare un bellissimo Barocco.
