Familiar from the Montalbano programmes, this fine, lavishly decorated room opens on to a balcony with a view over the UNESCO World Heritage Via Mormino Penna.

As a fan of Commissario Montalbano, I enjoyed seeing the room where his chief held court, with its beautiful period furniture and view over the piazza .

We visited Scicli on a day trip from Modica.It's a beautiful town which deserves many more visitors. We've never watched a full episode of either the original Montalbano series, or the Young Montalbano. However - because we were in town, we visited this place, which in real life is the mayor's office. We had a 15 minute tour with a town hall employee - and she was very informative about all things Sicilian, not just Montalbano. Her English was good. I'll be honest - unless you're a Montalbano fan, you'll be thinking: 'so what' if you visit here. However, for 2 euro each it's an inexpensive attraction. And for a couple more euro, you an buy a combination ticket which gets you into a nearby palace and church. Definitely visit Scicli: it's up there with Ragusa and Noto in the baroque beauty stakes. Don't just visit here because of Montalbano.

The mayors office here is home to the Questura that Montalbano frequently visits, usually parking his car just outside and running up the stone steps.We wandered past in the evening and noticed it was open (still at 7.30pm) so went inside.A really friendly young lady showed us the room, explained what scenes were shot here, the history of the artwork and of the seals. She spoke English also. We were allowed to take photos and pose behind the desk.Great if you are doing the tour of Montalbano's Sicily on screen.Cost of entry €2 which was reasonable.

it was a great experience to see one of the room filmed in montalbano fiction .The room features an amazing tapestry and some good architecture to admire.

Here you can visit the room that in the fiction is the of office of Commissario Montalbano, that' it.In reality it's the office of the Mayor of the Town The room is exactly the same of the fiction, it's nice, but not amazing.I guess that if it wasn't Montalbano's room, nobody will go there to visit it.In order to see the room you have to pay the entrance ticket ( if I remember well it cost € 2,5), but there is also an alternative option based on which you pay € 4,5 and in addition to the room you can also see a nice church and an old building .These last two attractions are worth the visit.

Anche se la spiegazione inizia dalla fiction con Montalbano, la sala del sindaco merita la visita di per sé. Bella la vista sul paese e sui monasteri che lo circondano.

Оно, конечно, 2 евро за посещение одной комнатки — довольно кучеряво, по нынешнему курсу особенно)) Но, с другой стороны, когда вы еще сможете почувствовать себя хозяином кабинета мэра города, входящего в список мирового наследия ЮНЕСКО? И, что еще важнее многим, постоять на балконе, на котором стоял комиссар Монтальбано и посмотреть с него на площадь из сериала? Особой толпы на вход не замечено, так что есть все шансы быть там единственными посетителями. Сидящая на входе в муниципалитет девушка сама вас сопроводит, предварительно закрыв кассу)

Mi piace la penna di Cammilleri, ma enfatizzare i luoghi dove la fantasia dello scrittore ha tracciato la notorietà del protagonista resto perplesso. Pertanto dopo aver visto (a pagamento) l'ipotetica sala Montalbano, mi prometto di non seguire più la patetica visita ai luoghi che vanificano l'intellettualità di un grande autore.

Non si può negare che a Scicli ci si va, oggi, soprattutto per ripercorrere le orme del Commissario Montalbano. E l'amministrazione comunale, oltre all'associazione culturale che accompagna i turisti nelle visite, l'hanno capito e stanno facendo un grande lavoro. La piazza del Comune è pulitissima e le persone si aggirano con macchina fotografica alla mano per cercare di carpire la bellezza di questa piazza e del Comune che la domina. All'interno del Municipio però non c'è Montalbano e tanrtomeno Catarella o Fazio, ma c'è una scalinata ampia, molto bella, e tenuta benissimo che accompagna alla sala del Questore, dove il commissario appunto va ad incontrarsi con il Questore quando questo lo chiama. Prima di accedere alla scalinata si paga il biglietto: solo 2 euro per la visita, accompagnata, ma se se ne aggiungono altri due si possono visitare, a scelta, altre due bellezze di Scicli, sempre accompagnati dai giovani, preparatissimi, dell'associazione. Noi, dalla piazza del Comune siamo poi andati, lungo via Nazionale, fino a piazza Busacca - bello il Palazzo omonimo - e lì abbiamo avuto la fortuna di assistere all'accensione dei lampioni, a luce gialla, serale. Uno spettacolo fatto di giochi di luci e ombre sui palazzi davvero suggestive. Una passeggiata per i vicoli, alle spalle del Municipio, ci ha regalato degli scorci indimenticabili. Anche a Scicli, come in quasi tutta la provincia di Ragusa, ordine e pulizia dominano il panorama. Un complimento sincero a chi lavora in questa cittadina: l'amministrazione comunale e i suoi cittadini hanno fatto veramente un gran lavoro e l'80 per cento della Siciia dovrebbe prendere esempio dai loro risultati. Spettacolare!

si lo confesso, a me piace tanto il commissario montalbano e così quest'anno, ho rivisto per la seconda volta la sua casa di puntasecca e sono tornato a scicli per vedere il commissariato, ovvero l'ufficio di rappresentanza del sindaco, stavolta però i siciliani hanno fatto tutto al meglio per "sfruttare" la stupenda fiction con zingaretti. Fuori del commissariato, cartello indicatore per visite orari, costo di 2 euro, etc. nell'androne due giovani ben educati e istruiti ad un tavolo si alternano per accompagnare i tanti turisti in visita all'ufficio del questore nella fiction, mentre l'esterno è il commissariato. un impiegato ci ha raccontato che qui, nell ex 'ufficio protocollo, c'erano anche gli uffici del commissariato. insomma i siciliani sono stati bravi e così mi sono anche seduto al bar difronte per gustarmi un gelato in attesa di veder arrivare la tipo del commissario montalbano..... .

Per gli amanti del commissario una strana sensazione di essere nella fiction. Iragazzi che ti spiegano la situazione hanno negli occhi l'orgoglio di quello che ti raccontano

l'atmosfera di un tempo e la disponibilità di chi ci accompagnava a soddisfare tutta la nostra curiosità

Grazie a "Montalbano" abbiamo visitato il centro storico che è veramente un gioiellino patrimonio dell'UNESCO.
