Nice place when travelling around Telc, Trest, Jihlava. It is visible that the castle is well taken care of, there is tourist "fast food" inside with beer and cold drinks, small parking place and many cycle tracks and foot trails around it. Definitely worh visiting.

Rostejn castle is definitely worth of a visit. Its remote location made it a little challenge to reach it, so you will enjoy event he trip there. Be aware that in summer it might be crowded by cyclists as it is in the middle of many tracks. The castle is built on a large rock and is well preserved to these days. From outside it still feels like a fortress that would definitely protect its inhabitants from the outside world with grace and glory even nowadays. Inner court is place you would like to spend some time in. Grass, small restaurant, few statues, summer, sunlight and shadows in hot days... everything you need. You can visit the tower which offers amazing views to surroundings, or go for a visit of the interiors. They are quite interesting and everyone will find his or her piece of interest there. Nicely renovated and preserved large rooms and amazing view out of windows. Then do not tell me that there was no moment you would say to yourself “I would like to live here for some time...”So, this castle is really a castle that you may imagine in your children dreams. On a rock, in deep forest, with strong walls, tower and large cosy and fascinating rooms...every girl would love to be a princess there and every boy would like to be the knight, believe me ;-) If you have some time, go there and enjoy it.
