Brilliant. Go and visit and see the history of the area. Well worth the time. We spent almost 2 hours here.

We have seen an interesting exhibition on the 20th century history of Cesky Krumlov, including the period around WW2 and the communistic era. The normal exhibition is also quit nice.

This was a most interesting and attractively presented museum. Almost all the captions included an English version and must-see exhibits included the ceramic model of Cesky Krumlov and tableaux of period figures and contemporary items. There were relevant features acknowledging the fact that the year marked the centenary of WW1 and there were many fascinating accounts, photos and films of how flooding and wartime had affected the town.

Learn how Cesky Krumlov has evolved through a tumultuous history. The price was low, and the exhibits are captioned in English. I didn't ask for an audio guide, so I don't know if renting one is an option. The model of the town on the top floor is really really cool as well.

The ceramic model of Cesky Krumlov is nice, else it is just a standard museum. Probably would not visit if not included in Cesky Krumlov Card

One afternoon during my stay in Český Krumlov last month I visited the Regional Museum, and I'm so glad I did. The displays of the artifacts are displayed in an inviting manner, and the ceramic model of the town of Český Krumlov is quite nice to see up close. I was also quite impressed with the displays of the people and the town of Český Krumlov during World War I, World War II, during the Communist period, and a few displays during the Velvet Revolution. This musuem is extremely informative and inviting all at once - inviting in that the displays on each floor are laid out in a thoughtful and engaging manner. And I found the front desk staff to be rather friendly. :-)By visiting the Regional Museum, I feel you'll definitely gain an informative and fairly thorough understanding of the history of Český Krumlov and the region, I know I did.

This museum is a complete history of Cesky Krumlov and the area including authentic pictures, clothing, artifacts, etc. The exhibits are all explained in both Czech and English and take you in complete detail from centuries ago to the present. The Communist era and the overthrow of communism is explained and the Czech present political system is described. There is even a huge replica of the city on display. This is a museum worth spending some time in if you are interested in the history of Cesky Krumlov .

The display of all the artifacts has been done well and the regional museum is well lit and warm for a tour which could take about 2 hours. the entry cost is 50 Kronas and is worth the visit.

Very good museum. Lots of information for those who want to read carefully and to learn about the local history. On the other hand, the museum is also attractive for those who just want to do some short (half an hour) "review of the exhibits". For everyone, the highlight is the top floor - a huge diorama of the Czech Krumlov, and breathtaking view of the city from the windows. It is one of the most beautiful views of the city, photo enthusiasts will love it.If you're in the Czech Krulmov only 2-3 hours, there is no point in spending time at the museum, it is better to be outdoors. But if you have enough time, or it's raining, make sure to visit this nice museum.

They've tried hard in this small museum -- too hard for the casual tourist who probably will choose not to read the voluminous amounts of information posted or wade through the papers and pictures associated with the town. It might be very useful to students in the area who are writing papers on a specific topic, but but other than that, I'd say skip it.

It looks small from the outside, but inside are several floors of very informative displays. It's hard to make the history seem exciting, but they do a very good job of keeping your interest. I thought it would be a good way to spend 30 minutes on a rainy day. Instead, I stayed for several hours and I still felt rushed to see it all. In the end, I quite enjoyed myself.

The museum covered three floors and two hours were not enough to adequately cover the exhibits. The description of all the exhibits was in several languages including English. Of particular interest to us was the section on the river - floods and the communities efforts to control the river. Also of interest was the conservation efforts going back to the 17th century to manage the old forests. The sections on WW I and WW II were also very interesting. There are a lot of old historical pictures of the village along side the village as it is today. Well worth the visit.

If you are interested in history, then this is worth a visit. The interactive displays are great and with German, Czech, and English languages.

This museum explains the history of Cesky Krumlov through large displays that consist of photos and explanations to read. There are some displays of objects as well, but you really have to read all the information on the walls. While we found this interesting, we soon tired of so much reading and just looked at the photos and displays to move it along. If you are interested in history, it certainly does a good job of explaining everything that took place in the town over hundreds of years, but for us it started to get a bit tedious. However, it is very comprehensive and I would recommend it. Just be aware that the display boards go on and on, and take a lot of time to read.

We had the Krumlov card, and thus could get in for free. Interesting local history exhibits. Good way to spend 30-60 minutes at the end of a day of touring the town.
