Hospitality is a name of the gameI have been in Sovi Dom three times and each time was as good if not better. My host made my staying there like staying at home. Fresh flowers always, fruits and little things that you do not see in many places. Great value for a money you pay.

To me it was an attraction to view the residence of some aristocratic personage very much as it was left in the early part of the 20th century. Because of its state of preservation one can get a sense of upper-class life in old Upper Hungary. It is much unchanged and well preserved. If you glory in the hunting life you should not miss this. The uppercrust loved the chase and this castle is riddled with hunting trophies of many kinds. It is royally furnished with artifacts. Wonderful photographic record of military events near the end of the Austro Hungarian empire. There is palpable history.Strolling the grounds ( the family's personal park ) is serene, pleasing and accessible. I think you should both stroll the grounds and visit the manor house. That's why I would recommend allowing two or three hours.p.s. If you were wondering at the admission whether to take the long or the short tour: take the long tour.

village Svätý Anton and his manor house is linked with Kohary and Coburg families and is very popular site for visiting all ages visitors nad inside are very nice exhibition of living arts and hunter collection

Allez-y, même si vous ne comprendrez rien à ce que raconte la guide, qui ne parle que le slovaque. Demandez le livret de visite en français et ouvrez les yeux : c'est un château musée, rempli d'objets de petite valeur mais ayant tous une histoire à raconter. Vous y trouverez forcément des curiosités qui vous intéresseront;Allez-y avec un ami des bêtes, de préférence un militant anti-chasse : vous le verrez pâlir d'horreur lorsqu'il découvrira les trois couloirs emplis de massacres, car en ces temps-là c'était le seul loisir de plein-air… Peut-être même défaillira-t-il en traversant les salles consacrées à la taxinomie (de l'ours au silure, et passant par les oiseaux et les marmottes).Il n'oubliera pas cette visite, ni vous d'ailleurs, et vous pourrez longtemps parler de la dérangeante fascination qui aura su interroger votre nature profonde.

Grand château du XVIIIe siècle aux pièces bien meublées, à côté de Banská Štiavnica .Les expositions sont centrés sur la chasse, avec beaucoup d'animaux naturalisés.
