Dolná Krupá is a small village near Trnava town (Slovakia) There is the classical mansion of noble family Brunsvick and Chotek.surrounded by big garden (17 ha), where various sorts of roses were cultivated by countess Chotek. Here spent some time Ludwig van Beethoven. He has lived in a small garden house near mansion where he has composed the Moon light sonate for Julia Guicardi - a niece of Chotek Family. A musical museum is in the castle now.From Dolna Krupa the Dopyeer family emigrated to the U.S. in 1908 - they were inventors of acoustic resophonic guitar (good - dobro) deemed to be an American national musical instrument.
