ribnica castle and museum

The castle is quite small, although there is a small museum inside the castle which highlights the local traditional crafts/history some of the permanent exhibitions include "Woodenware and Pottery, Ribnica - The Greatness of being small and The Bloody Fight Against Witchcraft".Witch hunts and their subsequent torture seems to have played and large part of times gone by.The castle is small and has a small garden area. There was a wedding taking place at the time of our visit.Again there is a small entrance fee (Approx €2.50). For this you also got a small wooden spoon. To represent the local tradition in woodenware manufacture etc.Again all the staff were very friendly and extremely proud of their town and heritage.
