我去过很多世界各地的古城,第比利斯的旧城算效美丽,日与夜的景色都很美!山上的城堡及河边的教堂互相辉影,成了一幅美丽的图画,再加上一些前卫的桥与建筑更令这城市锦上添花!
very nice townwith old buildings many churches and parks . prices is cheap you can eat in georgian restaurant for 10 dollar for 2 person)) i liked xinkali firts day:D
We found guide and it was so intersting to heard lot of stories and historical moments. Some days later we took a trip through old Tbilisi on our own and just watched once again the city and beaty around it, it was so nice to be there.
My new year's resolution was to travel more, and I got out of my comfort zone by coming to this place. I really loved it. My family is from Italy so it's got that old world vibe, not too many crowds, and a real authentic experience.
nice old town feeling, worth wondering off the main road, check out the Sulphur Baths, take the funicular to the top, do some wine tasting, etc.. nice beer and pastries, inexpensive - though avoid restaurants and cafe`s right in the tourist district as it costs about 5x more for everything :)
The old town of tabilisi is ok . Not much to do or to see .. Just an old town .. The bars and the club is not welcoming tourists .. And the gorgonian people are not friendly .
...and a huge tourist trap. Definitely worth checking out, but be cautious of overly zealous shopkeepers and the many beggars in the area. There are quite a few gypsy kids who are pretty aggressive about asking for money, so watch your belongings.
Ancient Town , with mountins around with very intereting views , giving fill powerfull nature energy. Fine tourist services , with many historical places , museums , shops , restoraunt , hotels , bars , amusement on little corner landscape. ( i must show date of my visit , please note that i living in Tbilisi)
Nice and safe place to relax, walk around, enjoy view of old buildings with balconies, have dinner or drink Georgian wine in lot of charming cafes and restaurants.
Interesting pedestrian area that attracts foreigners. Few things to visit. Architecture is still poor since only partially rehabilitated. Some interesting bars and restaurants, which attract foreigners especially during the summer.
Old Town of Tbilisi or Dzveli Kalaki is one of the best and nice places for me, I live there for more than one and half year. You can enjoy Balconies and walking around old houses. Close to must of historic sites in Tbilisi.
I did a couple of thirty-minute walks through here taking about a 20 - 25 walk from the hotel (Rooms Tbilisi). It's pretty nice for someone hunting for old books which I do. Some of the rugs were OK. As others have said, it does not have a consistent atmosphere from street to street. Old/New mixed business ventures. Found a great book at the "bookstore" - see pic.
We loved walking around the streets here, lots of life, cafes, people, charm, character. Allow yourself to get lost and discover new things in this maze.
The parts that have been renovated, are a bit too slick and touristy and the parts that haven't are a bit too dilapidated. There are only a few places where there is a feeling of authentic funky cool old. Too bad, but that's what's happening all over the entire world, it would seem. Nice enough restaurant and drinking places all in one or two areas, that look like happening places when the weather permits. A cold snap while we visited made sitting outside at night not such fun, but walking around was..
One of the old towns you really shoud see. Old Tbilisi has a charming atmosphere and a combination of crooked and winding streets with some cozy cafes and wine shops. I really enjoyed it, we lived in a hostel located on one of the hilltops and it was great!
