Having seen the church / priory, walk on up the hill to the top part of the village where you'll come upon a surprisingly English type of village green with pretty cottages surrounding it and an auberge looking not unlike the English village pub (from the outside). Continue past the auberge on your left and the gite on your left, then as you start to exit the village you'll see a sign by the wall on the right telling you the Duke of Lancaster was there in the 100 Years War attaching the outer defences; perhaps he was desperate to get in to that lookalike pub!

A big church in a really small village. It was built with the Roman style and also in the Goth style. There are tombs of all the priests that have been in the church. There is also monastery next to the church. There is a lovely garden next to it with fruit trees. The entrance is free. I would recommend visiting it only if you plan pass by Souvigny.

Here history is more than stones: also sound and music. The prieuré has a unique church organ. Enjoy its very special, forceful character and sound.

Cette abbaye est vraiment bien conservée, chargée d'histoire et de beautés. Il faut absolument la visiter si vous visitez cette magnifique ville de Cluny.

Découvrez ce prieuré aux couleurs intérieures étonnantes en suivant la visite guidée. Admirez les gisants de St Mayeul et de St Odilon ainsi qu'une armoire aux reliques aux dimensions peu communes. Vous pourrez également voir des vêtements religieux anciens dans la magnifique sacristie. Ce qui reste du cloître vous donnera une idée de ce que fut cet endroit. Ne manquez pas d'observer ses croisées d'ogives inspirées par celles du Mont Saint Michel. Ensuite, profitez du très beau jardin avant de visiter le musée. Au rez-de-chaussée, vos enfants pourront colorier, dessiner et s'essayer à des jeux de construction pendant que vous découvrez les deux étages d'exposition.
