Great day out, twice as good as Disneyland & you can get round it in one day! Great rides, many attractions for kids; the 'La Jacondé' show/ spectacle not to be missed!! In summer theres a Falcon show,Arena show & great water rides. A daybout nt to be missed!
Amazing and breathtaking attractions both for adults and for families with children, fantastic scenery, and connection from Paris. Also, great dolphins shows couple of times a day, worth going for a day out and have great fun!
Okay, I confess, I am an Asterix fan from way back, so going to the park was almost a matter of making a pilgrimage to me. The park is equipped with the usual sorts of rides, all done up in an Asterix theme, with wandering characters and performers present throughout the day.The food was good and the park was not overcrowded (though it was busy and we did have some time spent waiting in lines). All in all lower key than any of the Disney parks, and it did a good job being what it was - a place to play and relax - as opposed to an "experience."Plan your travel to the park with some care. You can get there by bus, but go early if you can. Or drive yourself.
We were here for a full day and had the most amazing day, we were at disneyland a couple days prior but we enjoyed Parc Asterix more than disneyland. The choice of rides was excellent and the waiting time for the rides was very reasonable considering how busy the place was. The rides we went on were all very enjoyable, although our boy went on all the fast scary rides while we just watched but he says they were amazing. As it was halloween when we were there they went all out and had the place looking amazing for that theme. The highlight was the scary walk through were people jump out on you and i won't tell you the end part, but its quite scary but well worth doing! The food was well priced and cheaper than what we paid at disney, i would highly recommend this place and when we are back in Paris we will definitely visit this theme park only.
My daughters and I went to Parc Asterix during our trip to Paris, summer 2014. We didn't really know what to expect.... and were totally blown away. We are huge Disney fans but honestly if you have time to visit only one amusement park in France, THIS is the one to visit. It was very difficult to get to (make SURE you go super early- the bus to the Park from the train station gets very busy) but well worth it.The park is themed on the adventures of Asterix and his friends. My kids knew very little about Asterix but loved every second at the park. The rides are magnificent- we are at the stage where my kids are too small for the thrill rides (although there are two coasters that made me salivate) but too big for kiddie rides. This park catered to us... there were several flume type rides that we adored, hilarious shows, and the park itself is just lovely. There is a very fun slow boat ride through a Druid village - and you can meet several druid characters. Everything here is bright and cheery, from the Ancient Egyptian area, to the World Exposition area to the ancient Rome area. We didn't stop smiling our entire visit. We speak little French and although this is definitely a French park and not designed for tourists, we had no trouble communicating. Park staff are very genuine and friendly... more friendly than the American Mouse park. Food was lovely and the cost was very reasonable for everything from lunch to the souvenirs my kids instead on getting.
If you are looking for a place with adventure and roller coasters..this is a place you must visit.Paris is usually known for Disneyland if you plan to visit an adventure park but that is usually a good place for children as you will not really find any thrilling attractions there.People who love thrilling rides and adventure should visit this place. It is an awesome adventure park when it comes to Roller Coaster..the best one being 'Oz Iris'. (Watch the videos on youtube if you wish)
one of the best attraction in France . The rides were amazing the food was great the dolphin show was excellent . Very good day
In this park you find many attractions for teenagers and adults. There are many rollercosters. I was very happy
Recently attended the "Peur sur le Parc" haloween event and was very impressed. Yes the park was very busy but with a wide variety of rides suitable for all ages, the crowds were soaked up. The longest queue all day was 60 minutes, which is perfectly reasonable for a top European theme park.I would rate this park ahead of Disneyland Paris in terms of "big rides", and what would appeal to the teen/young adult market. Parc Asterix does have a really strong family/young child offering, although I would have to say that Disneyland does beat them in this area.Overall a great value, fun day out, highly recommended for all.
Pros---All the rides were open (none in maintenance, being refurb'ed etc)Queues were ok (even with what felt like a packed park) - worst was OzIris @ just over 1hrGreat access (just off M-Way), good parking, short walk to park from parkingSmallish site - easy/ quick to get aroundPrice (especially compared to Disney)Range of rides - inc several good quality adrenalin ridesCons---Midday live show was ok but nowhere near as good as DisneyworldCheeky 10 Euro parking feeFood wasn't expensive (especially compared to Disneyworld) but it was limited and average quality at bestDolphin show - really? I'm sure Asterix would have thought of something more fitting, contemporary and creative than a live animal showFaded - a few areas had a faded feel to them (e.g. indoor market area, outdoor games area)Tip---None of the water rides get you THAT wet, you'll dry off quickly (i.e. if you've forgotten to bring a poncho you don't have to buy one on site ... though they do have a cute Asterix motif on them which could make for a cheap souvenir)
We went here today and had such a fantastic time I wanted to share my experience immediately. We arrived at opening time and there was no waiting for the car park you were straight in and there was tons of parking spaces, the 10 Euro parking fee was a bit of a cheek but it seems to be the norm these days, pay for a theme park and still have to pay to park! The longest time we had to wait for a ride during the day was 40 minutes for the ghost train but this could have been due to it being near Halloween. The best ride for me was the Log Flume but my braver Daughters loved the Goudurix ride which went upside down on several occasions, we actually waited until nearer the end of the day to go on this ride and waited only 10 minutes. We ate lunch in a fast food resturant and ordered chicken pieces, chips and a drink which was approximately 9 Euros each, not bad when a similar meal in Disney cost us over 50 Euros. The whole park amused our Daughters one who is a teenager throughout the whole day, there were so many fast rides plus more sedate rides for me! The Dolphin show was great and my youngest Daughter loved this show. We found the Astrix Town charming and twice during the day had photos taken with the characters. We bought some gifts from the shop and again I was really amazed at what good value they were compared to Disney. I felt that this is the place where French families visit rather than Disney as everything felt more geared towards the French family which I thought was great.
We went there in September. It is a good themed park with lots of attractions. The queue lines were endless. So with the Park opening at 10 and closing at 6, we didn't have much time to try most of them. We did not spot Asterix, Obelix or any of the other characters....
We caught the bus from charles de gaul airport. Fantastic park. Various rides for various ages.the only down is my daughter is very tall for age and couldn't go on younger rides. As was nearer 1.50 m but only 10 years didn't want to go on large rides still lots availanle and the seal and dolphin show was amazing had us in stitches
Second time that I am visiting specific park (first time in 2002) and for sure I can say that is one of the best theme parks I have visited.Grab a map from the entrance and enjoy your day. Specific park is not so huge as Euro Disney but offers to the visitors a big selection of games and attractions. If you like Coasters check Zeus and for sure need to see the show with the dolphins! Also if you are lucky by the time you will be walking from one game to the other you will see the costume characters of the park for photos.Entrance price is not so high (if you compare with Euro Disney) but food is expensive and below average. Specific park is not only for kids but also for those that are filling like kids!
We visit Asterix parc regularly since the early 90's. Our children were very young at that time.Today they are adults and still enjoy it. It is a human sized parc, employees are friendly and very professional. We have seen the evolution year after year. The attractions are great, especially the new ones.
