This church is next to Chateau Gouzon's industrial museum. It is free, and entirely worthwhile. There are many beautiful painted churches in this region. The twelfth-century collegiale allows you to see what they may have looked like when their medieval paint was fresh (nineteenth-century repainting). The column capitals surrounding the high altar are especially interesting, with monsters and Biblical figures carved and painted at their tops. The most famous capital has the inscription "Gofridus fecit me," meaning "Gofridus made me." This church was the highlight of visiting Chauvigny for me.

Superbe endroit, on y va pour découvrir ce bel édifice et on y retourne sans problème. Admirez les sculptures romanes du chœur, ça vaut le détour.
