Jean Louis Loup and his wife Isabel are lovely people who make lovely wines: rosés, rosé pétillant, and five reds to choose from, ranging from the delicious lighter Chinon wines at around 13% to the more robustly flavoured. If a visit coincides with the last weekend in May, they have their porte-ouverte which is always a great experience, and which includes other producers from out of region. Isabel is part of Cravant village council. Jean Louis Loup like most of the wine producers is also heavily involved with village life and is also a very good dancer! Definitely worth a visit. Coming from Chinon they are on the main Chinon road, the other side of Cravant on the right-hand side. Plenty of parking. Your assured of a warm welcome and an excellent tasting.
