Before I get into this review in earnest, it should be mentioned that the three of us who went to this museum enjoy the macabre and the unusual. Families and those tourists seeking conventional museums and entertainment may not enjoy this attraction to the same degree. That being said, I cannot adequately describe the emotions which my visit invoked using any language known to humans. What essentially occurred was that we three were held hostage by an eccentric Canadian man for two hours, who saw fit to lecture us on subjects ranging from more expected topics (like vampires, werewolves, and witches) to some surprising additions (like medieval Catholic dogma and Aristotle's finer works). The museum is a room in M. Sirgent's house, packed to the brim with all manner of vampire memorabilia and brik-a-brak. Jacques is extremely knowledgeable about all things vampire, to say the least, and will not hesitate to wax philosophic for hours on any topic vaguely related to the same.Points of interest can include not only an authentic anti-vampire kit and many signed photos of famous actors portraying Dracula, but also a wide collection of literature spanning many centuries of intellectual thought regarding a wide array of subjects. I can only recommend this visit to those with a few hours to spare and a healthy sense of adventure and fearlessness. Jacques was also kind enough to invite us to the Pere Lachaise Cemetery, which he frequents everyday, for an impromptu guided tour. We were unable to take him up on that offer, but all I can say is that there are fewer things I would rather do on a foggy Parisian morning than travel though a cemetery with this mountain of a man.
Vale conhecer o museu dos Vampiros! Muito interessante, revivendo histórias antigas e imaginárias. Confiram!!
