It's wonderful in summer with the family, but don't dismiss this during the other 3 seasons.It's peaceful walking around the lakeside and a loo at the end of the walk is always welcome! Lac Jamaye is excellent for families. Lovely imported sand, excellent lake to swim in & very children friendly. HIghly recommended summmer outing!!

Wow what is there not to dislike. Lovely lake setting with a great manmade beach. Numerous beach bars and even free kayaks and wifi. I still cannot believe that the Dordoyne council provide these facilities for free. Our kids had a wonderful time playing in the pristine imported sand and swimming in the clear lake water. When we revisit the region we can be sure that we wll be back to relax at le Jemaye!

If you have small children, what could be better than clean sand, shallow water, warm air, playgrounds, free parking and coffee? Enough said. The seaside but without the hassle.

Fantastic stroll around the beautiful lakes and then brilliant (and free) canoe hire. We picnicked by the waters edge and the children swam. Great stuff, would highly recommend, especially on a cloudy day as it was so quiet and peaceful, plus the sun came out later anyway. All good.

As the area is so far from the sea, this park and it's lake, suitable for bathing, is a very welcome addition to any holiday. Plenty of shady parking and opportunity to picnic or eat out.

This is a great place for all the family, lovely white beach, backed by pine trees, It's a nice walk around the lake as well, just over an hour. Swimming is good as the water is clean and warm. Everywhere is well kept and tidy. The snack bars serve frites and burgers etc as you would expect

Have been to La Jemaye many times and it just gets better. There is something for everyone. Beautiful lake for swimming and fishing which is patrolled by lifeguards. You can hire canoes which my son loves. There are two play parks set just back from the lake for the kids to enjoy. If you need to cool off a walk through the forest is lovely and peaceful. There are two fast food restaurants selling crepes, ice cream, frites and drinks. There is also an a la carte restaurant overlooking the lake serving good French food at a reasonable price. A great place to spend a day for all the family. Highly recommended.

It is no surprise the French locals, young and old use this area in large numbers as they know how good it is. You don't see too many English, but only because they don't know about it.The walks are good for all ages. For the young there are exercise structures of various types, ie, chin ups, sit ups etc spaced out as you walk through the nature trail. There are hides for you to watch the wild life, this includes turtles during the right dates. The trail itself is easy going, pleasant and interesting.There is a fair sized beach used for sports and swimming with volley ball and loungers. Fishing though I have no information regarding licenses and day permits. Free Kayaks with buoyancy vests supplied. You need to get there fairly early if you want to use one of the picnic tables as the French love to eat here and will set up at a atble for the day.There is a large restaurant / bar, a few cafes and bars. Clean toilets, lots of parking and more walks that I haven't tried yet.A sensible one way system in and out keeps the traffic seperated on the narrow roads.This is an ideal place for a family to spend a day in good weather.

This is a very popular amenity for good reason. There is plenty of parking, a clean sandy beach at the lake-side, play areas for children and decent snack meals available. But the beauty of it is that just a few minutes walk gets you into the lovely quiet woods, no feeling of crowds, just totally peaceful. In fact we walked all the way round the lake, a distance of several miles, and after the first few minutes we saw no-one. There is a well-positioned hide to watch birds, and the paths are clearly way-marked. And actually, although the beach area can be a little crowded it is lovely to see whole families out enjoying the simple pleasures of sand, water and woodlands.

We are staying in lisle and drove to this lake. It is a really nice lake with a built in beach. There are kayaks and paddle boards for free, we had a great time! There is a lot of green space surrounding it so you can take a picnic, or there is a bistro which I can't comment on because we didnt use it. Would recommend to families with children! There's also a great play park for children, and parking is free

The annual pilgrimage to lac Jemaye would not be complete without a swim to the pontoon, but.... it was not there this year.Everything else was there to be enjoyed

Very clean with lovely white sand around the lake.Good facilities for eating but we took a picnic and there are plenty of picnic tables under the trees.the swimming was good and you could hire kayaks free of charge!!!

Have been visiting lac Jemaye for many years, and been watching its transformation. On an early spring afternoon, I have taken a flask of soup and sat in the Hyde watching the wild life. In the summer, have sat in the sun watching the children play on the beach and enjoying swimming in the lac and having moules frit in the cafe. In the winter have gone for long walks around the lac, in all the different seasons the lac is a very beautiful place to spend some quiet time.
