This village is so pretty, you can't help taking several photos. It is easily accessible along the wine route and the town is very small and walkable. I am sure it is overrun with tourist during high season, but we had few tourists and lots of locals. Definitely worth a visit.

This is such a lovely little place! Strolling down its streets is like being in another century. It's a great town to let your toddler loose and just follow behind. Not to be missed!

Eguisheim and Kiizrberg Christmas markets. In Almost every town entrance is a small tourist office signposted with the letter "i" where you can get a map of the town and recommended route between points of interest in the town center. The truth, the towns are very similar in design and content although there are some specialties Artisan - Wine, chocolate, pastries, rhythmic, specialize in growing and marketing mushrooms special fresh and dried (I purchased a salt with truffle stated add aroma amazing dishes), or a town we went through it and they all deal with ceramics - pots, ornaments, utensils and baking trays in various sizes and colors bright.Usually we were walking arm in hand on the main street of the town (Romance and frost), only on weekends is a pedestrian mall for anything, look at the construction typical of the place (picturesque houses and colorful tiled roofs sloping wooden beams thick walls adorn the buildings) and of course in the holiday spirit all decorated excess Balance decorations, Christmas trees, dolls and some lights. With the help of a map illustrated from the Tourist Bureau of Aigosheim, we made the tour standalone recommended, including 10 stops to read the plaque set in the walls of the buildings. town stunning built as a playpen round surrounded by walls. Each of the major towns also has Christmas markets in Marche de Noel (cities of Colmar and Strasbourg has a number of markets, of course, in the city center), which are characterized mainly with gifts for the holiday - handicrafts, woodwork and ceramics, an endless variety of home decorations and the Christmas tree, sweaters, hats and costumes for children. Of course there are many stalls foods, from candy cakes and cookies (I fell in love cookies Splash of coconut , with butter flavored Orange filling,), cakes Gugelhupf traditional variety of flavors and sizes, jams and delicacies locally produced special cheeses and sausages, local wines - mostly white wine donut stands, pretzel, excellent pizza on a cream / onion / low controller called here "tarte Flambé", and hot drinks - hot spiced wine, hot apple juice, hot chocolate and more. hot tip - I brought from home a thermal cup – the liquor is kept relatively long time and you do not have to return the cup to the stand. In the background are played carols, choirs and street church bell rings complete the magical atmosphere..

The houses are all uniquely colourful, the roses are huge and blooming. The people are shy, the pace of life is slow.It takes about 45 minutes to walk around the town, we were able to go during the week when no tourists where around and so loved the lazy stroll.A place to retire maybe.

Loved the medieval village with its cobblestone streets and interesting shops. Liked the walkability and easy access to vineyards.

Egisheim is chosen as the most beautiful and best conserved small village in the Alsace region. Already in the time of the Romans was here a castle, in which probably was born in the year 1002 “Bruno von Egisheim-Dagsburg”, who became in1049 Pope Leo IX.In the 19th century a big part from the castle has being broken off together with the octagonal medieval tower, which they replaced by a neo-roman-Byzantine chapel to remember Pope Leo IX.Nice item during tour of the village, do not miss it.

We recently visited here and Kaysersberg, and stayed in Colmar. Colmar was fine, but we now wish that we had stayed here to be able to soak up even more ambiance. Eguisheim is a "fairy tale and princess" village that reaches out to the visitor in medieval beauty and charm. We visited in October, so the village was not filled with tourists. Good wine with a picnic lunch on the square...perfect!

Very pretty village in Alsace with a circular walk - called "la ceinture" (belt) - between medieval buildings; also has an attractive square by the main church. There are also a few incredibly narrow timber-framed houses which jut out from the others and are very photogenic. Plenty of shops and places to eat/drink; we found some free parking just by the side of a main road on the edge of the village, from where it was five minutes' walk to the centre. Definitely worth pausing here for a couple of hours if visiting the Wine Route villages.

This is a charming village well served by restaurants and a range of small local shops. The whole place is delightful to wander around - lots of history, flowers are everywhere. We went for a lovely walk out from the top of the village through the vineyards first and then the forest upto the three towers on the hill above.

What a magical place, so pretty in Summer with all the flowers everywhere. So neat and tidy. A lot of visitors during the day but yet very quiet in the evenings. unlike Kaysersberg, this small village is in a shape of an oval/circle with narrow streets. Beautiful. And of course, you can admire the famous storks on the top of the churches roofs.Situated on the wine route, there are a lot of small vineyards around. You must come and see this place.

On a visit to Colmar, a friend insisted that we visit Eguisheim. He said it was the village of wine. It is a nice small village with typical small house of old times but really well kept and maintained, but don't be deceived it has good modern infrastructures and even a big Supermarket. The village is nice, clean and very calm. There are a lot of places where you can walk in and taste and buy wine and quite a number of restaurants also. it's really nice and above all the people there are really really nice and friendly. The streets are nice and quite small. So I advise you park and then walk through the village. It's a heaven for all wine connoisseurs. Be careful, there are a lot of One way streets in Egusheim if you have a car...

Éguisheim is a beautiful and cosy little town. Its streets are full of beautiful medieval little houses. And the small church is very nice. It is a "miss not" place if you travelling thru Alsace. Ahh, it is full of winehouses for you to taste and buy excelent wines. It was a wonderfull surprise for us.

This little village is approx five Kim's from Colmar. Very easy to find, take Avenue de la republique to road 83. The prettiest village in France, like something out of a fairy tale. Allow plenty of time to walk the streets and discover the wonders of this place. An absolute must do!!

Beautifully restored streets and houses will have your camera clicking like crazy. Lots of lovely details. Not to be missed. If you see nothing else don't miss this town.

O centro histórico é muito especial, com lindas casas de madeirame à vista, muitas mostras o ano de sua construção. Gostei bastante!
