lovely walk with fairy trail to keep kids busy followed by a large green great for running around or playing hide and seek, before we have a picnic on the benches or seek butterflys
The park itself is not spectacular but the walk to it is amazing. River with small waterfalls, hills, woods - perfect for a relaxing walk. Took us about an hour to go there and come back. Tip: Just before the park itself there is a little bridge. Cross it and then turn right, over the closed gate for a walk back on the other side of the river.
When I'm visiting family this is a must do walk (although it's nicer when the weather is kind!). Is very beautiful & unspoilt but easy to walk. There's the wee free libraries & faerie land along the way. Then a short walk to the shore road. The people of Buncrana are very lucky to have this on their doorstep.
Went for a short walk here while on a long weekend. A great little trail with loads of info points along the way. The river was something else to look at also.
Swans park is a beautiful walk for the romantics or families, fairy houses with real fairies, a butterfly park, overhanging trees and secluded walks to the sound of the gushing river
Visiting from Canada and what a beautiful place to walk on a Fall evening. Clean and well kept with lovely walks to enjoy. Truly a hidden gem in Buncrana. People who live there are very blessed to have such a treasure on their doorstep!
I was involved in storytelling events for children and it was a beautiful place to be. The walk along the river from the bridge over the Crana river is beautiful, especially in autumn with the golden leaves underfoot.
A low key, lovely park that runs alongside the river Crana as it bubbles and chirps it's way into Lough Swilly. The park runs from the north of the town of Buncrana to the harbour area - we cycled through it a few times when we stayed at Westbrook House B&B (see review). There's a little box on a post that serves as a free library - very sweet - and a butterfly garden. Very restful and tranquil - definitely had a touch of magic about it. Lovely place to spend some time on a sunny day....
lovely and peaceful walk along the river then a sit down in swan park watch the fishing or have a picnic
Quiet, beautiful and a real gem.We walked the beaches and then the park.Little library boxes are there where you can borrow books for free. The river is stunning and the whole walk was peaceful.
Loved walking alongside the Crana river with all its waterfalls and beauty and tranquility . The walk had a very soothing effect on me and the farther I walked the more I enjoyed and appreciated it . I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants calming and getting away from the stresses of life for a little time .
Buncrana people are so lucky to have this park on their doorstep. What a relaxing, peaceful, tranquil place. Beautiful park to walk around.
Visited here with my 4yr old, my friend & her baby (18mths). We brought the buggy and generally it was great although a bit of a push up the hill at times! Very scenic, cute little fairy houses, great view of the lough. Worth visiting if you're in the area (& bring a book to swap in the wee free library!)
We enjoyed walking through Swan Park along a local river that takes you to the harbor area...loved the 'free wee library" boxes along the way- lots of anglers- beautiful as the sun went down- overall very pleasant
Not a very long walk but beautiful tranquil spot with river running throughit. Great place for photos Not a lot of seating
