ängelholms flygmuseum

Visited with 10 year old grandchild. He is very interested in airplanes. He really enjoyed the "junior airplane simulator". Most of airplanes are Swedish fighter planes (Saab). The most impressive is the Saab JAS 39 Gripen. Lots of information about Swedish air force and the opertions of the nearby F10 wing.

If you have not recently been to the Worlds largest Aviation museum in Dayton Ohio, you will always find this interesting. This museum shows more than all what a small nation like Sweden can accomplish. The Saab Viggen planes are here, and if you do not know the Viggen planes have been the main competitor against the F35!! From little Sweden??!!!! Swedes are behind so much technology!Much of Swedish Aviation history is here among a lot of others of course. But if is significant that such a small nation has done so much with such small amount of people, which proves what you can do when you have the right amount of education. Western Education that is, the kind that some groups in Africa call sin. With this education "little Sweden" has ruled the skies and the roads for decades. And they still do, because in this same city the world leader Koenigsegg has their home. God bless the Swedes! I hope they never stop! I love them, I hope they never stop believing they can fly! And drive better than Bugatti!

I am not a professional reviewer, and this is just my opinion. 50 years or so ago, as a young French student vacationing in Ängelholm, I made the acquaintance of a quiet, smart fellow named Kenneth Hansson. He then was working as a mechanic in a local garage. To make a long story short, he became a fighter pilot, rose through the ranks, logged over 6,500 hours of jet fighter flight time, and was the last commander of the Southern Sweden Defense Air Base of Ängelholm. Which has now been turned into a civilian airport, and hosts the museum, Kenneth's brainchild. One of the flight suits on display bears his name on a shoulder patch. When I returned to Ängelholm after all those years, besides the emotional reunion, we were treated to a prime visit, including behind-the-scenes looks at a restoration project. The museum is extremely well organized, and is working hard at posting English translations of the exhibits' captions. The planes and other exhibits are in amazing shape, and there plenty of thrills in the flight simulators. Truly a class act.

If you're interested in aviation (and you probably are if you're considering this museum) this is pure gold. The actual aircrafts are there, and the museum is run by the old colonel who used to run the military aircraft base, so there quite an ambition with the place. And you can fly in a real simulator. Worth a visit if you like aircrafts, fighters or both.

All that You want from a Good Local Museum of Air Force History! I certainly Honestly and Highly Recommend a visit if Your are intrested in (Military) Airplanes (and AirForce History)!

En fantastisk fin samling av Svensk flyghistoria. Här kan man gå i lugn och ro och bara njuta!Man får alltid ett vänligt bemötande och svar på sina frågor.

Pedagogiskt, välorganiseratTrevligt besök på ett av Ängelholms bästa sevärdheter. Intressant och informativt museum, inte bara för flygplansfantaster utan som ett historiskt dokument över svunnen tid. Bör besökas av alla Ängelholmare.

Här finns nästan alla flygplan som har tjänstgjort på den gamla flygflottiljen och museet visar hela historien från F10 barndom på Bulltofta under kriget till nedläggningen på 2000-talet

Jag kan helt klart rekommendera flygmuseumet, bara att testflyga i simulatorn är värd ett besök.Det väckte en hel del fina minnen från min militärtjänst på F17.

Muséet som har funnit i 10 år drivs av en kamratförening från F10 och täcker flottiljens historia i alla avseenden. Där finns allt, samtliga flygplan som använts, bergrum, ledningscentraler, uniformer, o.s.v. ända till legendariske doktor Löfbergs sjuka.Spännande för barn från ca 4 års ålder och för alla vuxna.Rekommenderas verkligen.

Var på besök där under våren 2013 med min farbror som en gång i tiden jobbat som flygmekaniker m.m och han uppskattede det verkligen där kommer vi att besöka igen.

Finns jättemycket för flygintresserade, särskilt svenskt militärflyg. Mycket imponerande flygsimulator.

Fint museum med många fina flygplan från forna dagar. Mycket att läsa kring planen och allt annat.flygsimulatorn rekommenderar jag. bra personal att fråga .

Ett besök som var helt underbart. Det var en massa av gamla piloter och tekniker som gick runt och berättade med stor glädje om dom olika flygplanen. Dom gjorde ett försök med att starta ett men det ville inte, tror att det var J 22. Det var mycke intressant med mycket att titta på och prova. Ett stor plus för att det är handikapp vänligt. Är man mycket intresserad så kan det ta tid att gå igenom allt.
