For skiers - no reason to go up to Piz Nair as the additional time (cable car) to go up does not provide any special or long slope. Nice view.
It is great stop for a quick ski break to enjoy the view, take pictures and enjoy St. Moritz blue sky
We were really looking forward to getting up in the mountains for a summer trip to St Moritz. Unfortunately it is super expensive and not all that great even at a much lesser cost. We don't mind paying the cost of spectacular, but in this case ONLY the cost was spectacular. Not even close to what's available in Chamonix, Innsbruck, even Pilatus to name a few that were much, much better.
If you are not skier like us still fantastic thing to do in St Moritz. The views are out of this world. A must do!!!
great views, cerainly with a blue sky warm sunshine and all these snow covered mountains and slopes !!
Skiing at St. Moritz is really great - no need to say anything more - just go here and find out. Easy access, great variety of slopes, we are coming back to ski here.
amazing views!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Not to be missed. You can take the cable all the way to thetop. You can sit inthe restaurant and indulge yourself with a hot chocolate and feel at the top of the world!!!!
Took the tram ride up. My daughter was skiing and I went to photograph her. It was well worth the price. The view was stunning. There is a restaurant at the top.
We were not sking but could just take in the view , enjoyed some hot food & chocolate at the top. Wished I could ski
On he advice of the reception staff of the Laudinelle, we took the cable way to the top. Fantastic experience and a lovely restaurant and sovenier shop at the top, Well worth the money and would recommend to all. This is merely a look out point and great for taking pictures. Once you've enjoyed a lunch you take the cableway down again.
Beautiful clear afternoon for our trip to Piz Nair - loved the three changes through trains to cable car and the long span to Piz Nair at 3057m; with wonderful views all round right down to St Moritz. The trip was made more affordable by the free pass provided by our Pontresina hotel and was an enjoyable experience. Made a stop on the way down at the Audit Quattro cafe, sat on the deck in the sun with lovely coffees and apple strudel looking out at the views. Would love to see it again in Winter!
This is one of the highlights of my trip to get to the top I used the free pass I got from the hotel although the trip up was long with a few changes it was excellent once at the top there is an excellent restaurant with a bar which you can sit in whilst you gaze at St moritz from Approx 10,000ft (not recommended for people with breathing difficulties)
went up by cable car and came down by feet -- highly recommended!. The view was spectacular at the top of the mountain. The weather was cool and not too much crowd.
Travel the funicular and cable cars to the top of the mountain for free if staying more than 2 nights during summer in St Moritz. The views are spectacular. Ride the cable car up and trek back down again. Fresh air.
To be fair the views down to the lake were great but on the top there is no vegetation though the peaks are attractive. We got off on the way down at Corviglia and walked gently to Marguns and caught the cable car down to Celerina. We then had a lovely walk through the town and fields to Muotas Muragl talstation. The views on the way were stunning.
