We were in Zermatt for a week over Christmas, and hung out in Hexen Bar two evenings. Both times we had a blast. The bartender from Germany had a great attitude, the beers and prosecco were great, and we met different people at the bar each night. We almost missed our Christmas dinner at the Omnia because we were having too much fun at Hexen Bar that night . . .

Went to the Hexen Bar 3 times on our recent stay in Zermatt. Every time the staff was very good. Great drinks and cozy atmosphere in this small uniquely decorated bar. No food, only drinks. Free peanuts were delicious. We will for sure return. Fun place.

We stopped at the Hexen Bar for a beer on our way to dinner. It is in an excellent position on the main road through the town. After an initial misunderstanding, the beer came but we had wanted small glasses of beer but the type we had ordered only came in a large size...apparentlyHOWEVERThe ambiance was pleasant as were the staff so in the end all was well. The décor was quite witch like (a lot of bats) and the staff all female. We enjoyed the experience and would probably go back again as everyone was pleasant and the beer was good

This place looks like a nice cosy bar so we stopped in for a drink. Took ages to get a drink as the bar tender was playing round with some cocktails like he was in some professional competition. Drinks were the most expensive we had in Zermatt, even more than on the ski slopes.There are better bars in the area. Give it a miss.

Our favorite place in Zermatt. Really neat atmosphere (witch-themed) and expertly mixed drinks. Not cheap, of course. That would be a bit much to hope for in Zermatt. But one can dream, right?

Out of many bars of Zermatt this one is special because of its atmosphere, which brings fine people there, not only tourists but also locals. For last 19 years we were watching many places appearing and disappearing, changing the style and service, but Hexen Bar is as it always was. Probably because the Bar was always lucky with its staff, young and dedicated professionals who always work hard to make your visit there great experience. One of Hexen’s present bartenders, Elli, won annual competition for the best bartender for the whole Switzerland recently. The list of drinks is impressive and includes the winning ones, but the staff is ready to serve you almost any cocktail from the endless list of traditional and not-so-traditional drinks. The cocktail we prefer is not on the menu for several years, replaced with new inventions, but bartenders remember us and make it specially each time we visit Zermatt. Located in the middle of the main street, the Banhofstrasse, Hexen is little place you might not even notice passing by. There are many brighter, louder and modern places along the street, but this one is different. Perhaps the good hexen’s spell.

This old fashioned but expert mixologist bar is a can't miss for Zermatt. The bartender and the staff were so kind and expert in their service that we went in most nights we were in town.

En attendant l'heure pour aller souper, nous nous sommes arrêté dans ce bar pour un petit apéro.Sympa, les gens vous accueillent avec le sourire. Le vin chaud (vin blanc est parfait)Si je devais émettre une "critique", c'est que au vu de l'ambiance, il devrait proposer une variété plus grande de bières.

Mitten im Zentrum gelegen die feine kleine Bar für das Apéro, wo man auch gerne mal länger sitzen bleibt. Musik nicht zu laut im Gegensatz zu anderen Lokalen ist es hier wirklich gemütlich. Sehr freundliches Personal und einfach tolle Atmosphäre!!

Kleine, gemütliche Bar im Zentrum von Zermatt. Preise sowie Bedienung ok. Da Platzangebot beschränkt ist, empfiehlt es sich 'früh' dran zu sein - vor allem am Wochenende.

Ambiance sympa, accueil très chaleureux. Un service très classe, des cocktails savoureux et très bien réalisés. Vraiment un bar à visiter à zermatt ! Merci encore.

Herzliche Begrüssung durch Oberhexe Elivira Bachanek, tolle Beratung, Auswahl an ganz feinen Drinks, tolles Ambiente, alles hat perfekt gestimmt, ein toller Abend. Da sagt man gerne : Bis bald !

Aufmerksam geworden durch Auszeichnungen der Barkeeperin für ihre Cocktails sind wir zur Vorabendzeit mit Vorfreude in die Hexenbar gegangen. Die Freude ist uns allerdings umgehend durch die unfassbare blonde Bedienung genommen worden. Völlig ohne jeden Charme, absolut humorlos, spürbar genervt von uns lästigen Gästen wurden wir belehrt, abgekanzelt und abgefertigt. Der Hexentee und der Rotwein waren überaus langweilig und überteuert, und wir waren ebenso schnell wieder gegangen. Hexenbar never again!

Die Hexenbar ist eine kleine aber feine Bar im Zentrum von Zermatt. Die "Hexen" sind sehr aufmerksam und schnell. Chef Ellie wurde sogar ausgezeichnet als "BARKEEPER OF THE YEAR 2012". Die Drinkliste ist umfangreich, alle Drinks werden sorgfältig zubereitet. Die Atmosphäre ist angenehm, das Publikum eher älter, wozu auch die Musik passt. Wir waren jeden Tag dort und werden bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt in Zermatt wieder hingehen.
