Have seen a ballet there (Tchaikovski's Nutcracker), wasn't disappointed.Seats are comfortable enough, view on the stage is good.Queue is too big for the entract, have to run there to get something on time.

It is one of the best theaters in Minsk. Was renovated and looks even better than before. Next to the theater there is a park, where you can relax.

Minsk Opera and Ballet Theatre is Best of the Best. Trust me. Russian ballet is great - I was fortunate to work as a stage worker in Saint Petersburg in my early days and saw many great performers. This theatre in Minsk on par with the best Western theatres. Our visit in September - three ours of enchantment.Just check the theatre web site. What a repertoire! One of my retirement goals would be to spent a month in Minsk and listen to the opera every magical evening.

Would highly recommend to everyone to visit! Ballets are amazing! no comparison to many european ones. The theatre itself is magnificent!

I really enjoyed the Opera and the surrounding area. Glamorous inside and with a wide range of viewers. No dress code.

Is is a gem in the city and country. It is very nice and we has seen both ballet and opera here, both were well done and the acoustics were quite good.

Been my first time in an Opera House, the experience was breathtaking to say the least. I liked the Pit Orchestra....

We saw a ballet we had not seen before, La Bayadere by Ludwig Minkus, it was excellent, a truly memorable evening. Tickets cab be purchased from the theatre or from various agencies around Minsk, they are very reasonably priced with good seats available at a fraction of the price you are expected to pay in the UK. The building itself is impressive, it is in parkland just outside of the old town, there is an exhibition of costumes in the theatre's foyer where refreshments can also be purchased. .

Whenever you have time while in Minsk, make sure not to miss at least one opera or ballet in the National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Belarus. A quite impressive building, inside and outside, and performances accordingly at high standard. Moreover, you can go and enjoy the spectacle as of 3 Euro (till about 20 Euro for the best places), really incredible. The dresscode is not strict, so no problem if you didn't bring your jacket and tie, just avoid jeans and t-shirts. I had the privilige of seing the Opera "Carmen" and the overall spectacle (music, ballet and accompanying choir) Carmina Burana, simply spectacular!

The Opera house is spectacular, both outside and inside. The inside is more spacious and ornate than many London theatres. I saw a double bill of ballet (Carmen) and dances (with choirs). The programme began punctually at 7pm and finished punctually at 8.30pm. Tickets are very good value - under $15 for a seat in the stalls.

This is a really undervalued venue by the Belarussions. Tickets can be extremely cheap offering you opportunity to watch world class shows in a grnd and comfortable theatre. An absoulute must f you visit Minsk

Went to this theatre to see double headed play. First I have to say that this theatre was closed for refurbishment for several years. All the inside looks expensive and vulgar with kitsch soviet-era style decor. Unfortunately despite the refurbishment do not expect to see a toilet bowl in the loos. Instead you are greeted with arab-style who-knows-how-to-use hole in the ground. I think this is unacceptable in the modern day and age. The dress-code is somewhat lax so you can expect people not dress to the occasion. That aside, the ballet itself was amazing.
