Although the outside of the church is quite simple, the interior is very beautiful, with painted ceilings in tons of pink. It could only have better light, it was a bit dark and difficult to see the paintings in detail. As most (if not all) the churches in Vilnius i is free - see the opening times outside or just push the door and enter if it is open.It is very close to Dawn Gate.
This must be seen together with Gates of Dawn. A beautiful Baroc Church with rich ornaments, paintings and symbols. Look also to the ceiling. Mae a visit to Ausros Varte first - and follow the corridor direct to St Theresa Church. A must!
While it doesn't look like much on the outside, this rose-colored chapel is well worth a visit. Just around the corner from the Gates of Dawn, the ornate interior is guaranteed to make your jaw drop. The church is typically open from 7-7.
I specially liked the paintings in the entrance corridor. The church inside is quite nice. It is like a surprise inside the building
A fine example of baroque architecture. This church is right beside the Gates of Dawn, there is a side entrance which links the two. It is open from 7am-7pm. It is highly decorated inside with golds and pinks and beautifully painted walls and ceilings. There is a particularly elaborate high altar. All the decoration makes it appear rather dark inside. It was built in 1650 for the Carmelite order.
Holy Mass in Polish language at 17:30 in Saturday is very helpful for tourists. Nice to hear old Eastern-Polish pronunciation and see traditional behaivour - kneelind during whole Eucharistic Prayer.
This church is a must see. It is beautiful inside and out. There is a huge pip organ in the loft and during the summer they have concerts inside.
The Church of St. Theresa in Vilnius is a beautiful example of baroque style straight in the center of the city, do not be fooled by the outside it may seem like it really a normal church, but inside is beautiful, what is most striking are the beautiful frescoes and the numerous works of art.A visit here is more than required.
Really nice church with a very rich interior, many old paintings, sculptures etc. which give an authentic impression about the many masterpieces in this town! Don't miss it!
Did not have a chance to see the inside of this cathedral but the outside was quite lovely in design. It sits on a historical street near several other churches and the Gates of Dawn. Worth a walk through.
Is one of the most Excellent early Baroque monuments in Vilnius. The church was built in 1633-50 under the patrone of the Vice Chancellor of the Gran Duchy Stephen Pac. Expensive materials such as Swedish sandstone, granite and marble were used for construction. In 1763-65 church interior was decorated with sculptures.
I'm surprised this one didn't appear in any of the tourist listings because it was probably #3 of all the churches I visited in Vilnius. Very dark, but beautiful and colorful inside.
I loved being able to visit this Church with its Barogue architecture in fact I went there twice and once took part in the Mass which was the Jewel on the Crown as far as I was concerned. This Church is situated next to the Gates of Dawn
The pipe organ was very impressive.. and in general the church is in good condition... when i was there they were still going under renovation
This 17th century church is a good example of the early Baroque buildings in Lithuania. It is located just inside the Old Town as one enters through the Gates of Dawn (to the left), and is linked (both physically and operationally) with the chapel atop the Gates of Dawn (Chapel of the Blessed Virgin Mary, containing the black-and-gold 'miracle-working' Virgin Mary icon). The church interior has been preserved from the second half of the 18th century and is impressive. A must visit for the church enthusiasts.
