Loads of parking space, good service and comfortable size. Avoid arriving between 11-13.30 on weekends
Great way to spend a day as a family, as a couple, as a group of friends. You don't need to go to the capital area to find a great amusement park since Powerpark struck South Ostrobothnia. Best thing about this place is that it is not too big, every single device is worth trying. Prices are slightly high, but accessibility, parking, overall atmosphere and variety of activities will certainly compensate your wallet. Don't miss the 5D cinema.
Powerpark competes with Linnanmäki and Särkänniemi for the title of best amusement park in Finland. Though the location might not be optimal for many, the place is worth a visit and has something for people of all ages, especially kids of course. The best rides are the rollercoasters: the wooden Thunderbird and Cobra with the forward and backward loops.Plenty of options for accommodation around the park and restaurants outside and inside the park itself. Nothing fancy but tasty. There's also an outdoor and indoor karting circuits which is a lot of fun for the older kids - and farhers and mothers alike. The park itself is very well maintained and in excellent condition.
Soon to be teenagers just loved this place. Lot of equipments enquiring adrenalin. Few coffeehouses and few restaurants. I recommend this place for teenagers, families and couples. There is a fashion house after less than 10 minutes walk and also local groceriestore. There you can easily find for example suitable vegeterian food, like soya products.
A great park, a nice selection of coasters and other rides, get go kart track, also one of the most northern theme parks in the world
This amusement park is quite new and the rides are good. The whole place is kept really clean. There is now a new shopping mall close to the park and there is also a karting track. It is easy to arrive with your own car, there is a big car park just outside Powerpark.
We love this amusement park! We visit it at least once every summer. Our three children loves it and talks about it all around the year, before and after the visit. The area is nice and tidy, very well kept with flower arangements etc. The buildnings remind me of Disney world or Disneland in the United States, though without Mickey and Co. There are several restaurants and snack shops for different tastes on site. Unfortunately they are pretty expensive. When we visit we start with eating lunch outside of the amusement park at the local Buffa + Hesburger (same spot) in Härmä. Then we spend the whole day at Powerpark eating one main meal there in the afternoon. There are good and clean bathroom facilities.
Powerpark har grown from just a plain field to the best amusepark in Finland in just a couple of years - and is still growing. Every year there are new attractions and it seems that space is the limit. I've been there several times during these years and I can recommend the place to anybody - both youngsters, teenagers as well as grown-ups. The only thing that still needs improving is the food. There should be more restaurants and different kind of restaurants to meet the expectations of the visitors.
Powerpark was a pleasant surprise after you find this huge area in a middle of nowhere. It has a very neat and nice amusement park with quality rides, huge karting tracks, chalets, hotels and very tidy camping area next to it. Only downside is that everything is very expensive inside (and a good souvenir shop is missing). We had two ciders with two hamburger menus. We paid 60 euros for two! The cheaper burger place had 40 minutes waiting list. Unbelievable and unforgivable! Overall, Powerpark is a quality place for big wallets. Remember to try out 5D "movie" (4 minutes) experience. It is pretty cool!
Here you will find something to suit everyone in the family: spinning, turning, speed and somersaults in the traditional amusement park, two karting tracks (indoors and outdoors), several restaurants, hotel, chalets and campsite. Especially children and teens will love it! Abt 80 km from Vaasa.http://www.powerpark.fi/etusivu_en
Many of the amusement parks are directed at children but there are some wild rides for us adults in Powerpark. There are also other attractions like karting and 5D theater. Entrance ticket seems bit greedy (considering the ride ticket is almost 40 euros alone) but you can find ways to get it for free (I got mine from http://www.vr.fi/fi/index/veturi.html).
An interesting idea to build amusement park in the field far-far-away. It has enough to see and experience at least for a day. There is also carting center by the side of the Powerpark, which I didn't test but it looked like decent place. So, both are worrh trying if you vist western Finland by car. Parking is free of charge.
Powerpark offers everything for everyone with reasonable prices (34e ticket to all rides for over 140cm) and is VERY neat, I couldn't see even a one trash in the ground. Rides have a wide range too, some are freaky as hell, and some for the smallest kids. There are also two "children worlds" with a goblin theme and a farm theme. The whole park is designed in a wild west city -style, which raises the experience even more. There are three restaurants inside the amusement park, beef restaurant, thai restaurant and a pizzabuffet, in which you pay from the weight of your food. (10 year old boy ate a full plate with a price of 5e) The staff is really well educated and knows the information about the park well. From outside, the hotel and the camping area seemed nice, though we were there for a one-day trip. Only bad side of the place is the location. it is basically in middle of a field next to the road. The nearest train station is 30km away, without any proper bus-transportations. So if you want to go here, you definitely need your own car.
Very clean, frendly staff, reasonable prices...simply the best way to have fun with family for a whole day.
Great amusement park in the middle of nowhere. Something for everyone. The roller coaster Thunderbird was amazing - highly recommended. Also great options for small children. Nice and clean everywhere. Small selection when it comes to restaurants. Missing healthy options - lots of burgers and fries. The go kart track was prebooked to private go-kart events throughout the day we were there :-( It was a big disappointment
