From the outside it looks more like a sculpture but upon closer inspection you'll notice the entrance. Once inside you can experience complete silence in the midst of a busy capital city. The design of the room feels warm and secure. It really is a special moment. When I was there a man came rushing in grabbed a pillow and sat down and closes his eyes. Not praying, just taking a moment of silence after work before going home. The chapel is non-religious. It is not dedicated to a specific religion. You can find both the holy bible and rhe coran there if you feel like studying ;)

This small chapel is worth the visit. The architecture is pretty amazing and it's a peaceful refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

Even that I'm not into churches this one really gave me a smile. Its very enjoyable to go in since there is no decoration and you can enjoy the silence.

If you are in the Kamppi area for shopping/dining, do make a point to pop by this place. It does not have to take a lot of time and it is usually open pretty late (for Finland). It's a gorgeous and very peaceful space. I don't think of it as a chapel in a traditional sense, maybe because of the unusual architecture, but more as a space for meditation as well as prayer. Go check it out on google images and then definitely drop by.

Solace in the hustle and bustle of the city center shopping area... Do not expect much, simplicity in the design is the key!

The chapel is centrally located and within easy walking distance from the main central railway station.Entrance to the chapel is free. The chapel is made all from wood, and when you enter, there is no windows, so for those that may not like enclosed spaces much without being able to see outside, you may not like it in side. However, despite the lack of windows it is quite airy inside and there is light them comes from the outs rim of the ceiling. It is very peaceful and quite inside, letting you gather your thoughts without any distractions.Other then the inside of the chapel, there really isn't anything else to see here.

Really easy to get to ...Run errands to or from ...This architectural structure is in the middle of the city, next to shopping, buses, trains, hotels, everything. Its simple beauty feeds the soul and body in a bustling city. Whether it's the proportions, details, textures, light or the silence that occurs internally - the effect is like taking a soft breath realising you'd been without air. Design for the people ...

To echo a previous reviewer its "Free and Quiet". Worth a visit and at least in my experience people respect the Silent bit unlike down by the harbour at the Lutheran and Uspenski cathedrals. Not sure why this is number 4 as an attraction but there you go.

A tranquil oasis in the middle of the city. Beautiful. Small. Not very comfy benches - perhaps for a reason (so people don't fall asleep...). Definitely worth a visit to unwind and gather ones thoughts.

Imagine the busy center of Helsinki, where you just leave one of the large shopping malls, then you stumble upon this gem in the middle of the city. You go in and the silence touches your soul. After 10 minutes you will leave refreshed and replenished.A piece of the nordic genious.

The interior design was nice and the entrance was free, so no complaints. It is not much action packed into this visit, but who would assume such - it is a church.

This wooden building in a bustling square is actually a mini-chapel. It is open for anyone to go into. Only rule is to be quiet. A very calming place. Remember to look up when you are inside. The ceiling is egg shaped and just glows. If only to escape the cold, or to have a quiet moment on a busy day-include it in your plans.

The first time you see this massive architectural wonder, you cant help but think its the most amazing coffee cup and perfect location for a nice warm cup, but alas its a church of silence, and it really is amazing to step inside its vacuous echo chamber, church goes might stay a while and do what they need to do. and even for the average visitor, its certainly worth a look as its structure is completely wooden, an ode to the churches of olden simpler times.

When we first saw this building we didn't realise what it was but did go in a few days later and found it very quiet inside. Very unusual and worth a visit

This is a small, but very different chapel. The architecture itself is very different from anything I've ever seen, and the atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. Unlike other "strictly Christian" chapels, this one was open and inviting, stating that it was a place to relax and take a break from the stress outside.
