portadown library

I've been a member of the library since I was a kid and I can safely say that the Portadown branch is a friendly environment and a welcoming one. I'm not into the ebook revolution and firmly bowline in reading proper books so the library is the place for me. the staff will order books in for you and email you when they are in, you;re never waiting long for the book to arrive. They have an excellent selection of all kinds of books ranging from kids books right up to fiction, non-fiction and science etc etc. There's lots of little comfy seats you can sit on and read happily without anyone bothering you. I love bringing my little nephew and helping him choose his first books to read.

Now automatic but the very friendly staff are always there to help. Friendly atmosphere about the place

The selection of books may be limited by the size of the building within but there is a good array and I always find something to interest me. This library replaces a Carnegie Library in Edward Street and is much more modern and better laid out. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Should be able to use internet (although might need to show id/fake a local address....). My aunty swears by it.
