We welcome visitors from throughout the world to are drawn to the uniqueness of a barbers shop and railway museum. Its all thanks to former railway employees and enthusiasts who have helped make it possible by recreating a little of the romance of steam travel which sadly ended for the people of Fermanagh in 1957. It was lovely to read your description of your visit to Headhunters and the sense of wonder which you experienced. The combination of barbers shop and railway museum ensures that you never know exactly who is going to pop in and as you note its certainly 'alive' with those reliving the days of rail travel. Thank you also for making a donation to the railway museum which is a registered charity. This will be used to support the work of the museum in preserving the collection of exhibits and extensive collection of paperwork in our archive. Some call it progress while others cite it was a lack of foresight! Whatever your view on history, the museum tries to act as a focus for the 'Hey Days of Rail Travel' when romance of steam was very much alive. We were delighted that you chose to visit Headhunters during the European Heritage Weekend and glad that you enjoyed the experience. New railway artefacts are continually added to the collection and the model railway is a great way of enthusing children, most of whom are already familar with Thomas The Tank!
