It was a moving experience to witness firsthand the efforts to reconnect the country and use the symbolic Peace Bridge for it.
You can't visit Derry without crossing the Peace Bridge, apart from what it represents Architecturally it's a work of art
Much shorter to walk than it looks,I'm afraid off heights though I enjoyed this, and the views off the city from this is stunning, especially at nighttime
Beautiful bridge built across the river foyle, a work of art and lit up at night is a joy to see.lovely stroll on a beautiful spring day, nothing to dislike about this great bridge
Beautiful piece of engineering. Love walking over it on a windy day with the kids. Really does bring the city together
The Peace bridge is great. It looks stunning and the way you can see the Guildhall through it is very artistic. It is an excellent way of getting from one side of the river to the other easily. It is always busy with joggers, walkers, cyclists etc. Stop along the way and look at the lovely views down river.
Gives a great view of the city approaching from the East side one gets a splendid view of the newly refurbished Guildhall. Which is also worth a visit
A cool design bridge which is free to cross with good views up and down the river .... a must for anyone visiting Derry/Londonderry..
If in the city take a hour out and enjoy a stroll across the peace bridge which gives some different views of the city, you can also enjoy a coffee at the kiosk at the far side.
A nice brisk walk across the bridge that brings together a city that had been divided by the beautiful Foyle river
A great way to view the city and get some good photos, seating half way over for the not so energetic
Lovely views of the city always plenty of people on the bridge. it only take around 5 minutes to cross over and nice to say you have been on it.
Very nice symbolism behind the bridge. I walked it twice, and not being as familiar with Derry, I only saw residences on the other side. However, anytime I looked at the bridge, there were people using it.
A lovely and imaginative piece of engineering that was a pleasure to walk across. Anything that helps towards lasting peace in this beautiful but troubled city has to be admired. If it helps encourage the Protestants who have been driven out of the city across the river to start coming back and mixing with the vast majority of friendly, decent people then it is positive.
The structure of this bridge was amazing. It was quite busy when we walked across the bridge; felt safe with police also patrolling (wasn't sure if I shouldn't feel safe).
