This is a lovely park. Very scenic with the lake. I take my dog walking here. Well kept and also a play park for children. Very family and dog friendly.
Lovely for feeding ducks and a nice walk..great for picnics and bbqs and a family park at the back..fishing is also permitted..great for a summer day out
always kept in good condition, and when the sun is out the park is in full flow, when the park has music days or picnics it is a great shout to head down
Beautiful place for a family day out. We took a picnic and kids after a long walk for ready for it. There is a lovely little park for we ones and you can bring bread for the ducks. Kids were exhausted after we got home.
Nice place to walk for exercise and to push child in pram. Also get to see ducks in pond and walking out of pond. Plenty of benches to take a seat if want to rest.
The walk is beautiful. It is lovely for the kids to feed the ducks, play in the play park. Great for staying in a caravan. It is ust soo peaceful and beautiful.
The park has a fishing lake, caravan park, various walks with lakeside views and tennis court. It also has a play park for the kids. A good way to while away an hour.
We've been to a couple of council run caravan sites, they never filled me with a desire to want to return. Until Dungannon. Before I extol the virtues of this place, I must point out the only bad thing about the set up. In case I forget. The site itself is a mere twenty meters from a very well equipped kiddies playpark. What do you get at playparks? Laughter, squeals of excited children, lots of wee ones running about. Bigger children with broken voices, and horseplay after dark in September. It is what it is!On arrival, you check in as usual, and pay your £10 deposit for the electronic key that gains admission to the toilet facilities and the Elsan. The barriers into the park close at eleven, and the same key gets you in. Why you would want to be away from here must be another story. The staff, manning the reception are very helpful and friendly. There is a TV room and games area in the same building. There are about twelve fully serviced pitches, having fresh water, hook up, and grey water drains. The site is level and well spaced, and access is easy, unless there's a wedding in the car park. There is a well stocked lake about sixty meters from the site, where you can hire boats or a jetty to do a bit of fishing. All details can be found online. We enjoyed Dungannon so much, we went back a second time in as many weeks.
Just visited picturesque Dungannon Park once again and wanted to record this for tripadvisor users. This is one of the lesser known attractions in Dungannon but worth a visit. We have used this on many occassions (and still do) for a family picnic or simply a leisurely walk or indeed power walk. The walks around the lake and the rest of the park have beautiful scenery and are nearly always accessible regardless of the weather and there are picnic tables for those who want. Although my main use is for relaxing walks and the scenery i know that the lake has fishing facilities and also caravan facilities are on site. Lastly there always appears to be an ice-cream van available for that required treat & the ice-cream is very good.
such a nice manicure park. lots of flowers and places to sit. Even though it was an overcast day when we were there, it was beautiful just the same.
Dungannon park a credit to the council, so much care and effort , everything perfect and a great place for BBQ with its clear lake and gushing waterfall. I would recommend it and the ice cream van come on most Sundays. The w/c facilities are very clean and well looked after, the park is a very, very safe environment for little children .The paths are smooth for a fast cycle, jog or run or take it easy and take a romantic stroll as the sun goes down...it is free and welcomes everyone plus it has a caravan park for any happy campers, I would recommend it for a fun day out , hope this helps...
not as wheelchair as it should be most paths to bumpy for wheelchair, or to wheel on by myself. No good if you have to be depend on other people if you just want time on your own
One has got to give credit to the management and to those who maintain this park. It is so well kept. I often take my dog for a walk around it. There are notices to say dogs should be kept on a lead which is a good thing. It keeps dogs and people feeling a lot safer. Bins are nicely spaced out and certainly dog owners seem very responsible in using them judging by the lack of dog foul about the park. There are a few different routes to walk around depending how much time you have. There are some undulations on the paths and certainly from these slightly higher vantage points and when the sun is shining across the lake it brings you a real sense of joy and peace.
Fantastic place, don't panic as you walk or drive in it's hidden round the corner! Lovely lake with fish in and a variety of ducks and swans which my kids love to feed. There's I think four sign-posted walks including one round the lake which includes benches every so often to take in the views. Nice, clean kids play area with picnic tables and bins and next to it is a football pitch area. There's also camping and caravan facilities which means there's good toilets, vending machines and an inside lobby type area if you need to get indoors for a minute.
This is a wonderful place for both youngand old. Kids can amuse themselves at the playpark which is very sensibly divided into an area for toddlers and one for older kids. They can ride their bikes along many tarred paths or feed the ducks and swans. There are beautiful lakeside walks or one that takes the walker among trees. Calm and relaxing
