A good venue for the kids especially on a warm summers day as it is mostly outdoor activities. There are benches and tables for seating and picnics or you can purchase food on site. The seating gives a good view over the main park which is in a sloped field so the kids can be seen wherever they go. The main road and motorway are both overlooked by and well fenced off from the park but surprisingly it is very quiet. Kids really enjoyed it so can't ask for more.

very good value for the money. Let the kids learn about Horses & Equine by participating with the horses. Great day out for all ages. Very knowledgeable & helpful staff. Get along now, lots to do and see.Highly recommended.

Visited today, myself my 12 year old and 5 year old. Got here at half 2 and queued for over 20 mins to pay to be told I didn't need to pay here I could've paid at the kiosk!! The reception also doubles up as a cafe so was really cramped. Wouldn't have enjoyed eating here as was too busy with people paying and using the toilet. Even though it says farm park the only animals to be seen were horses and you could feed the trout. In the outside play park there was a bouncy pillow and some grass and donut slides other than that it is just a park! The indoor play area is a few inflatables with tables next to them for picnicing. These tables were filthy and there was nowhere to sit as chairs were all taken. Staff at reception couldn't be more unhelpful. When I paid to get in there was no mention of thanks or sorry for your wait she just slid my receipt and a hand drawn map across the counter. We were bored after about an hour. Also I have to add that in the cafe there were dirty cups and plates piled up on top of a dirty bin! Not the best view to look at if you were ordering anything. This place could be so much more and it's a shame that it couldn't deliver. I would say this place is suited to children who are no more than 8 years old. My twelve year old was bored to say the least.

This place is much much more than horse rides.It has a fantastic range of outdoor play equipment, an indoor soft play, decent cafe and ample parking. The kids will love running around in what is a very safe environment.The pony rides are great; our three year old took a trip on Mack and all rides are properly supervised. All in all, a grand day out to be recommended.

Bought a groupon offer for a family ticket to the park and we enjoyed the experience very much. A little unsure why adults need to pay as its a park for kids and adults stand around and supervise. Im glad i never paid full price! We paid an extra £5 for horse riding it was great fun for my wee girl. It was a 10 min trek and not 30 mins as advertised on line. We had coffee & cake in the cafe and that was delicious. There was a good variety of lunch options if you hadn't brought a picnic. The play barn inside was ok but would suit younger children. My daughter is 8 and she had a go on the bouncy castle but preferred the outdoor space! All in all it was a great day and i would recommend to friends. Only down side is having to pay for adults as I'm sure we spend enough on coffee, ice cream, cakes, horse riding and lunch!!! Hope this review is helpful!

We arrive three adults, one toddler and a three month old. The facilities available are a big outdoor play area, indoor 'play area' and pony trekking which is all for kids. I was shocked to learn adults had to pay in when there was no facilities for adults - £19 duly handed to the cashier. The outdoor play area is nice for kids but hugely busy. We visited the indoor play area which was basically 3 bouncy castles and a small soft play with one chute. Not ideal. This area was completely over run by a party. 2 juices, a cup of tea and 3 galaxy bars cost me £7 odd. We'd booked a pony trek for my 3 year old niece. On arriving at the expected time, we were told it was running 15 minutes late. On mentioning this was not ideal and hoping it would not run later, an employee defensively guaranteed me my niece would be on a pony by quarter past. When we set off on the pony trek at 4:25 pm, the girl leading us was lovely, talkative and great with my niece and Molly the pony was a cutie! I felt the trek was a little shorter than 20 minutes but I didn't check my watch as I was enjoying Georgie's reaction. I think this place could be fab but it's missing the finer details. It's overpriced, the cafe is way too small for capacity, parties overrun other PAYING customers, the indoor facilities are terrible and the organisation leaves plenty to be desired! Major potential but doesn't deliver.

Plenty to do for little ones, although felt a bit 'packed in'. It was very busy when we visited, but still managed to find a picnic spot. Inside play barn also great to either get out the sun or keep dry. Only down side was toilet facilties, had to keep walking back to café/car park as no toilets next to play areas or in play barn. Also café very small and seemed to get busy very quickly although food did look good and reasonably priced, particularly kids lunch box.

We came here hoping for a fun day out with our toddler. The sun was shining and there were a number of things to do, however our little one was just a bit too young to appreciate what the park had to offer. It wasn't particularly cheap for spending roughly an hour in the park. None of the staff were particularly pleasant, in fact both my husband and I remarked without prior discussion how unwelcome we felt. From buying our tickets to watching the horses, we were made feel like we shouldn't be there although as far as we know we weren't venturing anywhere we weren't supposed to and there were others in the same area. Perhaps they were having an off day but it doesn't make me want to rush back.

Great wee pony ride for the kids and the staff are really nice ive worked in the horsey world and you can get some stuck up sorts lol!! Will be back

We were given gift vouchers so day didn't cost us anything entry would of been £15.50 in our party we had 2 Adults 2 children age 7 and 2. Wellsfield is farm park, trout fishing, equestrian centre and holiday village. Each have there own charges we were at the farm park. If you have been to Heads of Ayr you are likely to be disappointed with this one. The only animals are the trout and horses from the fishery and equestrian centre. There is one bouncy pillow, usual park equipment, sand building area with the sit on diggers (manual not electronic), pedal go karts, toddler car area, archery section (suckers rather than arrows), indoor baby room (fun shack) and cart slide. I think the farm park is newly opened we went on a Sunday and there were two staff to look after the park area. The cart slide is great but I think could do with staff supervision there is bark area at end of slide for carts to slow into which they need to rake after few goes the rake was left in the bark,not best idea. The diggers in the sand are not weighted down so tip over easily. The archery area is great idea and the arrows are suckers, so nice and safe for wee ones running across the targets. The Fun shack has two viewing areas underneath which consists of some plastic dummies not sure what the point of this area is. There is area labelled mini beasts area where you think brilliant idea kids can collect insects view them the release back to habitat nope they are just plastic toys placed on stack. Bee hive did catch view folk out again just plastic bees. There is a pond to feed trout fee is 50p a bag at kiosk there is also a blind fold walk which has few issues with sticking out branches and thorn bushes but again good idea. I am not sure on cost of pony walks but few people were doing them so reckon they must have been reasonable. The nature trail consist of signs of the animals but no actual animals even the bird spotting area has been spoiled by these sign post pictures of animals. This is a great park and good day out but price is bit much for what is really just a park. They need to sort out some more supervision other wise on peak days place will descend into chaos!.

Spent weekend 24/1/14 in one of the lodges and were delighted at the high standard of the lodge and its furnishings. It was immaculately clean, felt very cosy, and well stocked with lots of extras which you do not normally get when self-catering. Also a big plus was electric was in with the price, so no feeding meters all weekend. Went for the lodge break but impressed with what else was on offer.Typical Scottish February weather Rain and more Rain but still managed to go on one of the nature trail walks (wellie walk) saw the fishery with 3 ponds and little huts for fishermen, had a look round chilrens farm park which in dry weather is all parent could wish for - happy children enjoying outdoor activites. Grandaughter of friend who was staying in lodge went on pony trek ride and even in rain enjoyed herself. Lovely to walk round and see the horses and watch the riders in the indoor and outdoor spaces.If staying in a lodge the farm park is free otherwise there is a charge but still value for money.Also very pet friendly which I think is a big plus. Go and have fun day out
