It was raining and miserable but the view was to die for. The tea room is worth having a cuppa and cake in.
Hadnt planned on visiting but stopped to stretch our legs after driving for ages. glad we did! superb scenery! well worth a stop!
We have visited the queens view many times over the years. Views are stunning. The walk way up is good and makes it accessible for most abilities.Unfortunately this time the toilets, cafe and visitor centre was closed 'due to bad weather' still charged £2 for parking and the weather was fine. There was a few visitors and a coach load made it up there without any trouble. There had been snow the day before but all the roads had been cleared. It would have been nice to have free parking on this occasion due to the facilities being closed.
You may think that to see Queen's View the once is enough and, certainly, it is better to see it the once than never at all .... however, if you can visit more often, you will discover that the view is ever-changing. Our visit at the end of February was fantastic ... yet again, it was different to when we were last there - in September '14. The snow was laying (although the roads were clear) and the view was a new view for us - snow covered land and mountains. Great!!There are facilities on site - toilets; gift shop/museum; and cafe. The Forestry Commission Scotland information states "The cafe and visitor centre is open daily 11am-3pm.". We visited before 11am so I cannot confirm these times, especially when these all used to be closed throughout the winter. The view is accessible to wheelchair users, via a sloping tarmac path. The car park fee is £2.
The coach stopped just yards away from the viewing platform. We visited the Visitors Centre and Cafe before strolling up to view this breathtaking site and take some photos. We were lucky with the weather, there was only a slight drizzle and we had a clear view. If you are in the area this is a must see visit for you!!!
I wish I could leave it at one word. This is just one of the most stunning views I've ever seen in Scotland!

It is sublime. Our second time to visit Queens View and just as special. take the camera for stunning Loch views.
Looking out across Loch Tummel in the late afternoon, the mountains were reflected across the still face of the water. But the following day it was snowing and the whole place looked beautiful in a totally different way. Each time new.
Only a 6 mile journey in the car. The views were breathtaking....absolutely stunning. There's also a visitor centre, café & shop, which were very nice.
We were introduced to the parking scheme prevalent throughout our trip- charging 2GBP to park at what is really just a nice overlook of Loch Tummel. There is a cafe and small gift shop where you could allegedly count your parking towards your coffee or whatever but we did not attempt to take advantage of this
It was absolutely astounding the views were stunning even in winter. We'd love to go back. The loch is like a giant mirror and there is an amazing walking trail where there is an astonishing view point.
A short walk from carpark, wheelchair accessible, fan view of loch tummel and distant mountains, information board with names of mountains etc, also toilet facilities ,cafe and information building,
Have been here before but only during the summer, this time, in the midst of winter we were able to have prime position at the viewing platform and with the trees being bare the views along the loch were uninterrupted and of course stunning. There is a cafe on site of visitors centre which sells a variety of snacks and really good coffee, I had a chocolate muffin which was exceptional. My only complaint was although a really lovely day, when it came time to take the photos, the sun decided to disappear - just our luck.Robins abound at this time of the year and are extremely tame
Wow, no other word describes the views of the Loch, the valley and the mountains in the distance. Awesome....
