With friends, we called in here and received a friendly welcome. They serve a good pint of Bellhaven Best, which together with well cooked traditional pub grub is all that is needed. It is a traditional local hostelry which doesn't pretend to be other than it is.Well done.
Auldhouse arms is our local pub and we go here all the time. The food is lovely and great value with huge portion size it's definitely good value. We normally are in the bar as dogs are allowed our dog poppy is always made welcome too by getting lots of treats! Menu has wide range of food to try so something for everyone. Won't be long till our next visit
The pub is situated in a tiny village south of East Kilbride. We came mid-week for lunch and it was pretty quiet. The barmaid was very friendly and the service was good. Enjoyed fish and chips and haggis, neeps and tatties with a pint of Bellhaven. Food was hot, tasty and nicely presented but portions are large. Definitely a great spot if you are looking for a reasonably priced country pub lunch or dinner.
We have just had a fabulous meal at the Auldhouse Arms, our bill was £23.00 for two courses each and 3 soft drinks. We started with pakora, chicken and haggis. ...was delicious with a lovely chilli dip. Main course was fish n chips for my husband and I had steak pie with chips, It was excellent, the portions are huge, the meat was so tender it fell apart and was very tasty. The pastry is cooked separately so you don't have a soggy bottom but I don't mind that! We have visited here fairly regularly as we have with similar pubs in East Kilbride but the value and quality at the Auldhouse Arms is second to none. We visited at 1.30pm on a Sunday and it was fairly quiet but it was apparent that there were a few bookings due in. ..I heard one party say you can't normally get a table unless you book on a Sunday so would be wise to call ahead. A wee gem and a warm welcome is always given.Frances
A hidden gem near East Kilbride. Just ask for directions to Auldhouse . On a Tuesday or Sunday evening from 8pm . Live music in an old pub. There is also a restaurant attached. The music and 'craic' are not to be missed.
